"In April 2007, Steve Jobs asked Philippe Starck to design a boat, of approx 80 meters with roughly 6 rooms as he had been very impressed by the Virtual sailing yacht Starck had designed several years before.." During their 1st meeting, it was more than clear, that the two shared the same philosophy on the elegance of minimum.

On their 2nd meeting, Starck brought Steve the mock up model of the yacht he designed inside out with all the finished plans. "Steve was more than happy and approved the whole. The project never changed during the process of 5 years dedicated to a rigorous work on details, driven by the famous eye and genius of Steve Jobs.

The design work took place between Steve Jobs and Philippe Starck and has been fantastically executed by Feadship. "Philippe Starck is proud of Venus as he feels it reflects Steve Jobs expectation and vision”.
