There are also three double or twin staterooms available, and crew quarters suitable for hosting up to six crew members.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/308873/image/large-71bdb998bbdeceb685eb78ebcdd8069e.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/308873">The yacht K’s exterior, which was also penned by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/7656" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Miminat Designs (Company)">Shodeinde</a>, a glossy, black profile with sharp edges projects a sense of understated glamour as well as stealthy athleticism on the water. A glass-covered atrium to the front of the saloon, and the extended beach club with swimming pool to stern, elevate the exterior spaces to a turnkey standard.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/308872/image/large-5f5b3109ece0608a954e07fd2c62fb75.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/308872">In terms of K’s interior design, this “moving art” is characterised by high ceilings, unrestricted, lofty areas with a largely black colour palette that reflects the same luxurious mystery and darkness as her outside silhouette.&nbsp;Even so, pops of ecru suede-like fabric and honey-yellow jute throughout the seating areas give the yacht’s indoor social hubs a multidimensional, sensory quality.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/308874/image/large-78574d756b01ebb9cfc59b455ac62ee8.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/308874">Moreover, K’s height ceilings are set to be lined with ceramic-composite panels in contrastingly light shades, replicating the form of a classic Japanese tatami mat. In the second phase, the focus will be on implementing this with a comprehensive materials database and user-friendly calculation tool.&nbsp;This will allow manufacturers to conduct eco-design and comprehensively reduce environmental impact, as well as communicate the environmental footprint to consumers, stakeholders and regulators. The project has already been presented to the EU Commission and has received strong support.The threshold of 24 metres was chosen to align with EU regulations, and will be based on a coherent Life Cycle Assessment approach, following the stringent EU Product Environmental Footprint Category Rules.“We need a proactive and pragmatic approach to sustainability and this project will develop the tools that industry needs,” concluded Robert Marx.
