Soliloquy at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

Having recently displayed the beautiful 1:48 scaled model of Soliloquy – The Super-Green Superyacht, during the Monaco Yacht Show at the Lürssen Yachts stand and also at the Monaco Yacht Club, Alastair Callender is now pleased to be able to announce that he has been invited by Camper & Nicholsons International to display his model of Soliloquy, during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show this week.

“The opportunity to have continued exposure and further the interest in my radical 58m design concept on the Camper & Nicholsons International stand, at the largest Boat Show in the USA, is an honour. I am exhibiting to express all the benefits of a Super-Green Superyacht, thanks to the state-of-the-art technology from Solar Sailor Ltd, and indeed hoping to interest a client to allow for this revolutionary concept to become a reality,” says Alastair Callender.

This eco-vessel will harness the power of the sun and the wind, thanks to a collaboration with the state-of-the-art technology firm, Solar Sailor Ltd. of Australia. Solar Sailor's proven technology, which is currently used in commercial vessels, provides this stunning yacht the ability to be emission-free, running up to 8 knots on solar energy alone. This has numerous advantages, not least providing significantly reduced running costs.

Soliloquy is looking for a pioneering owner to lead the way to support the green agenda. The eventual owner will be assured of making a positive statement to the world, through Soliloquy’s unique design in a way no other vessel can.

“Sustainable, luxury, yachting - Soliloquy is the future” comments Callender. Soliloquy's innovative design solution was presented by her designer, Alastair Callender, at the “4th Annual Future of Superyachts Conference” in June 2009 in Palma de Mallorca. Soliloquy’s innovative registered design, and unique Solar Sailor technology has received much attention across the globe, which recently has included The New York Times, CNN, and The Sunday Times.

Alastair Callender will be available for meetings between October 29th and November 2nd on the Camper & Nicholsons International stand at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
