Available for charter in the Adriatic and Mediterranean this summer, Islander joins the exclusive YPI Charter fleet fresh from an extensive two-year refit. A high volume, spacious yacht, the 58.5m Islander enjoys a particularly large sun deck with a full central bar area, informal dining areas, barbecue and a large swimming pool, with Jacuzzi jets, that can be filled with either fresh or sea water.
“We are proud to have Islander as a part of our fleet,” says Head of YPI Charter, Fiona Maureso. “She is a stunning yacht and in superb condition – we are looking forward to placing some great charters on her this summer.”
“She also has some very unique features,” explains her YPI Charter Manager, Jacqueline Leigh. “She is powered by water-jets, for example, a feature that makes her exceptionally quiet underway – and that’s a joy for many guests.”
An extensive main deck saloon can be completely separated from the dining area whilst a sky lounge comes complete with fully equipped bar, card table and an upright piano situated on the upper deck. The upper deck offers exterior dining for 12 guests.
“Another major aspect of Islander is that she is one of the few luxury charter yachts available today that can also properly accommodate wheelchairs,” adds her Retail Broker, Nicolas Benazeth. “She offers through-hull access on starboard together with an elevator which provides access to all levels including the sundeck. Specially widened doorways allow for easy access throughout so she really is a acht everyone can really relax on and enjoy. ”
Islander can accommodate 10- 12 guests in five staterooms and a convertible study, all with ensuite bathrooms.
“She is also run by an excellent crew of 12,” says Nicolas, “ all under the steady and highly competent command of South African Captain, Duncan Stephenson. Their knowledge of the area means charter guests really will see sights some charter yachts don’t even know exist.”
