The development of this superyacht was a great example of teamwork, with the captain, build engineer and yacht broker all working together in close cooperation with the experienced owners, supervising what would become a magnificent addition to the Lürssen fleet. Acclaimed designer Espen Øino successfully took on the challenge of designing an exterior look that combines classic allure with contemporary grace, balancing sleek and curved lines to form the vessel's confident features.

Adam Lay Studio and Jack Fhillips created the interior designs, again in close cooperation with the superyacht's owners, resulting in a design that has all rooms oozing a warm ambiance, generously decorated with a selection of luxury woods. Ranging from Maple and Anegre to Walnut and Oak, the overall warmth and richness that shines through in every detail is, for an important part, the result of applying such luxurious natural materials. All this, combined with a clean colour palette of blues, whites and creams, results in a sophisticated and warm interior design scheme with an eloquently maritime touch.

Lady Kathryn V has two main entrances, which both form an appropriate and stylish introduction to what this magnificent superyacht has to offer. The first main entrance can be found on the main aft deck, connecting a spacious al fresco dining and lounging area, with a large dining table effortlessly accommodation companies 12 guests, with the main deck saloon. This area shows the designers' particular attention to detail, both with regards to combining lush style with ample storage for multiple sets of dinnerware, as well as the owners' liking for guest entertaining. With a dining lobby and quick access to both the main deck pantry, saloon and lobby, particular attention was paid to allowing effortless entertainment through optimized flow. The central lobby offers the vessel's second main entrance, in the form of a dramatic spiralling staircase connecting the lower, main and bridge decks. The area, designed as an atrium for an amazingly open feel, is flooded with natural light due to the sun deck skylight. The staircase, which spirals around a bronze sculpture atop an onyx column, boasts impressive wrought-iron, gilded balustrades. Combined with the compass motif stone flooring, the main lobby is as elegant as she is light and spacious, an entrance befitting a superyacht of Lady Kathryn V's stature. All guest decks can also be reached by use of the vessel's elevator, located right near the central lobby.

The traditional and proven layout which can be found on most 60 metre Lürssen superyachts, was reinvented and adjusted according to the owners' wishes. One of the major adjustments with regards to this, is the way Lady Kathryn V's onboard spaces have been split into smaller and cozy rooms. From the main saloon, passing through the dining and central lobbies, the fore-located owner's quarters can be found, starting with a private lobby, which is reached through glass paneled doors continuing the flow of natural light from the main lobby and offering additional stowage possibilities. From here, through a set of solid paneled wooden doors, assuring optimal privacy, the owner's study can be reached.

Bathing in natural light, courtesy of the huge starboard windows, the study boasts an elegant antique desk and chair inboard, opposite two comfortable armchairs in blue and cream coloured checkered upholstery. This room boasts a pleasant classic atmosphere, both cozy and light, with touches of maritime themes here and there. The overall ambiance makes this space flexibly suitable for both work and relaxing purposes.

From the study, the owner's private saloon can be reached, also designed in Chippendale style and separated from the owner's stateroom by a set of sliding doors. The latter allows these rooms to be conveniently separated or opened-up, maintaining effortless access to the master bath either way. Again, a light and airy feel is guaranteed due to the full height windows found throughout the master areas. Opened up, the connected master lobby and stateroom form a spacious and inviting area, classically designed in a warm style. With the dividing doors closed, the bedroom offers an intimate, soothing ambiance, based on a colour scheme of crème and blue, complimenting the natural tones of the applied luxury woods. One of the most impressive features to be discovered here, is the port side sea terrace which can be reached through the owner's stateroom, opening outwards via a shell door. This offers a large platform with magnificent views and a distinct private feel, located right under the flare of the hull.

Large cabinets throughout assure ample storage space. In all, the master suite can be both spacious and intimate, classic in style and warm in ambiance, true to Lady Kathryn V's flexible nature.

Here, several seating arrangements, a bar with large armchairs and the picture perfect views offer guests a wonderful ambiance.

It's easy to imagine the flexibility of this entire deck, with several possibilities ranging from separate cinema, saloon and aft deck to one outstanding area, luxurious and light, with spaces seamlessly flowing from inside to outside, offering a perfect setting for entertainment ranging from cozy movie nights, cocktail parties, elegant dinners and everything in between, undoubtedly turning this deck into a guest favorite.

Through a staircase leading up from the bridge deck lobby, the remarkable sun deck can be found. An immediate change of atmosphere can be felt throughout, with a colour palette based on white due to the lush application of white marble. Some of the main features to be discovered on this deck are the extensive onboard gym and additional casual dining room with a pleasant, pristine ambiance. This area, called l'Orangerie, was intended to offer a completely different atmosphere, with designs inspired by Hotel Cap d'Antibes, among others. The gym offers a solid range of equipment, a steam shower, sauna with changing room and natural light and privacy are assured due to the one-way mirrored glass windows. The whole interior interior area forms a link between the two exterior sun decks to be discovered here.
