If anything, Lady Candy is all about finding balance; a balance between boldness and refined elegance, between comfort and performance, and between East and West, as this exquisite 57 metre superyacht unites the extraordinary signature of Italian design with the mysterious eastern finesse of her proud owner's requirements. The result is simply outstanding and will be extensively featured in our upcoming issue of SuperYacht Experience, with an in-depth interview with captain and designer Paul Brackley of Central Yacht, who was responsible for the vessel's interior designs and layouts, in close cooperation with the owner and American architecture firm BAMO. Add to that Benetti's renowned naval architecture, and taking a closer look at Lady Candy simply becomes a must. For now, we are proud to present Lady Candy as Superyacht of the Week, as a lady of elegant luxury, impressive technology and a well-balanced, airy and delightful fusion of styles.
Her exterior look is that of a true modern classic, with a distinct Benetti look and a long, slender silhouette. Undeniably modern, Lady Candy boasts an elegance that is truly becoming and appealing. Her exterior colour palette, a combination of light beige for her sleek and crisp white for the well-proportioned superstructure, is subtle yet distinct, accentuating her look of feminine sharpness in just the right way. With the starkly contrasting dark windows, Lady Candy is part sportiveness, part grace, part vigor, and all finesse.
Lady Candy's vibrant personality becomes instantly apparent upon boarding, with a generous aft deck, with big white U-shaped sofa and elegantly orientally styled armchairs, and an airy, panoramic main saloon welcoming guests onboard. Colours are tasteful and vivacious, with fresh green and azure hues adding vibrance to the palette's fundament of white, grey and soft natural colours. The result is instantly soothing, open, rich and boasting plenty of character.
With large widows on either side, the main saloon has a pleasant panoramic quality, which blends well with the interior style of traditional asian influences combined with contemporary colours, materials and textures. It's all in the details, and this main saloon is all about luxury and a wealth of oriental lightness, bright and outspoken yet never overly abundant. Large, inviting furnishing in light upholstery is combined with high-gloss ceilings, plush carpeting with a seemingly mother-of-pearl detailing and an overall sense of pleasant hospitality. Although wonderfully outspoken, there is a sense of serenity which can be enjoyed everywhere onboard.
The main dining area, fore of the main saloon, has a circular plan with an elegant big central dining table, with a dramatic centrepiece chandelier as eye-catching ingredient. Here, too, large windows offer a splendid sense of openness, adding to the area's joyous, elegant and vibrant sense of style.
This pleasant vibrance is extended throughout every area onboard, not in the least the lush guest accommodations, consisting of 6 luxury suites for up to 12 guests. The two lavish upper deck suites, one aft and one fore, each including 180-degrees panoramic windows and spacious private decks, are absolute pearls on the Lady Candy's crown and can both be easily be named masters. However the impressively large aft one definitely takes the title, with features such as a big private saloon, large study, panoramic stateroom with large owner's lounge, his and hers walk-in wardrobes, impressive private aft deck and a more than generous en suite with big tub, separate shower area and his and hers toilet areas.
The master suite is truly exquisite with a rich oriental design in a more natural, traditional colour palette, with ample golden detailing and fine luxury materials such as leather, silk, high-gloss wood and plentiful applications of gold leaf as key ingredients. The stateroom is spacious yet intimate, with tastefully crafted headboard artwork and stunning vista views, courtesy of the panoramic windows. This sense of panorama is extended into the marble en suite, with big windows offering extraordinary openness. Along with the large saloon, with big L-shaped sofa and ample of space, Lady Candy's master suite simply is a seemingly endless oasis of oriental finesse, luxury and mystique.
Moving fore, through the grand upper deck lobby and past the big massage room and the conveniently located upper deck staff cabin, the impressive VIP suite, completely dedicated to the owner's daughter, after whom the superyacht was named, is equally stylish and grand. Panoramic windows for the stateroom, a large en suite with big tub, separate shower and a soft natural style, VIP dressing area, ample storage space and a big private deck fore are key features, making these guest quarters, like the master suite, surely wow every distinguished guest lucky enough to reside here.
Belowdecks, four additional guest quarters, all equally well appointed and elegantly designed, complete Lady Candy's selection of exquisite accommodations. The lower deck suites boast impressively large en suites, two with bath tubs and two with big shower areas, plus office areas and ample of storage space. Each suite is set up as a double, however the two suites fore can be easily converted into twin configuration. All located around a circular guest lobby, with central staircase and an elevator connecting every deck, each guest is assured effortless accessibility, a perfect sense of privacy and a luxurious, open and airy ambiance.
Aside from her elegant main saloon and exquisite guest accommodations, Lady Candy obviously boasts an impressive range of additional guests areas and luxury amenities, starting off with the wonderfully spacious beach club and gym area. Here, a big, elegant lounge is located right adjacent to the large swimming platform, offering guests luxuries such as a fully equipped bar, inviting furnishing, walk-in wardrobe, a shower and spa area, and a big private gym at their disposal. With the owner being a diving and underwater enthusiast, this beach club and gymnasium area is a perfect addition to an already impressive superyacht.
With the master suite located on the upper deck, the main deck offers plenty of space for a big tender storage facility and a large cinema room, located fore of the guest lobby. Big, inviting chairs and a large assure ample cozy movie nights, certainly one of Lady Candy's many extraordinary features.
Spacious ambiance seems to be one of the key design elements everywhere onboard, not in the least for the wide walkways, which allow a particularly sense of openness when walking outdoors. Adding to this wonderful sense of space and luxury, Lady Candy's extraordinary spacious sun deck certainly is one of her most impressive features. A big aft sunbathing area with inviting loungers, a large Jacuzzi, and the centrally located al fresco dining area assure that this deck is an undoubtable guest favourite, although it's hard to play favourites onboard a superyacht as stunning as this.
Lady Candy simply is a jewel, the latest addition of the Benetti family, and stunningly impressive in every respect. Combining outstanding performance with perfect comfort and lavish luxury, not to mention her wonderfully elegant sense of oriental contemporary style, she is timelessly elegant with a twist.
