Superyacht of the Week: The stunning 46.8 metre superyacht Roxane

The stunning 46.8 metre superyacht Roxane is the perfect blend of a traditional sailing yacht mixed with the uttermost sophisticated modernity. Built in Tulza, Turkey by the renowned shipyard Su Marine, with naval architecture by Taka Yachts she was crafted to sheer perfection with seamless joinery.

The composite hull was constructed by using four layers: mahogany veneer, glued with epoxy resin, laid on iroko and steal frames and finished with a sheet of pre-preg E-glass cloth. This process crated a strong lightweight low maintenance hull with greater internal volume capacity.

In accordance with the owner’s brief, Roxane offers bountiful deck spaces allowing for ultimate sunbathing and relaxation. She has two cockpits, one located in the traditional place; between the wheel and the deck house and the second is situated underneath the main boom.

There is yet another sunbathing area aft on the stern which is equipped with a semi-circle of sun-lounges. These not only provide a relaxation area, but they also hide the winches and mooring gear (when not in use). Alternatively, this aft deck area can be used as an entertainment area, allowing room for up to 50 guests.

The interior designed by renowned French designer Rémi Tessier, perfectly blends with the exterior styling by the continued usage modest colours; shades of grey, neutrals and black and white. This colour palate helps to create a warm, sophisticated holiday feel. Curved beamed ceilings further enhance the welcoming ambiance of the main saloon as well as natural light that floods in from the large windows.

Roxane’s guest accommodation continues with the theme of smooth understated luxury. Each cabin is fit with en suite bathrooms, which feature basins made from exotic black marble. This superyacht accommodates up to 9 guests with three double cabins, 1 twin cabin and one pull man. Special features include the VIP cabin’s separate entrance for further privacy as well as a 5 metre walk-in closet.

Powered by two 610ph Scania engines Roxane has a cruising speed of 11 knots and a top speed of 13knots (when engines are in use). Otherwise, she sails smoothly with immense sails by Doyle sails.

For watersports, Roxane has a 5 metre Jetdrive, a tender 2.4 metres inflatable tender with outboard engine, 4 metre classic sailing dinghy, waterskis and scuba equipment (Rendez-vous diving).

Roxane has 7 crewmembers, and crew quarters are cleverly located aft of the engines room, where motion is minimal and with convenient access to machinery spaces.

She is available for charter with Burgess in the Mediterranean for €84,000 a week in the high season and €70,000 in the low season.
