The iconic and fast superyacht Shergar in Sardinia
At the time of her launch, in 1983, Shergar was well ahead of her time. Built to be one of the fastest yachts in the world, her owner asked Lürssen to fit her with a 6,100 hp gas turbine engine, giving her a top speed of about 45 knots. Today, this 46 metre yacht still ranks high amongst the world's fastest superyachts. Her owner, the Aga Khan, keeps her in pristine condition.
