Two superyacht contracts signed at Bilgin Yachts

Just before the summer, Turkish superyacht builder Bilgin Yachts launched their first Bilgin 160 Classic superyacht M&M, which was very well received at the Cannes and Monaco Yacht shows. SuperYacht Times visited the shipyard in Istanbul where we discovered that the yard has recently also sold two new construction projects.

The first superyacht project is the Bilgin 147, a 45 metre yacht, which resembles the lines of superyacht M, launched in May. The new 45 metre yacht is the yard's second superyacht to feature a reversed bow. Powered by twin 1915 hp Caterpillar C 32 engines, the new yacht will cruise at 17 knots, and will peak at 22 knots. There will be guest accommodation up to 12 guests, in a master stateroom, 1 VIP cabin, and 4 guest cabins. Special features include a large lounge area on the foredeck, complete with a Jacuzzi.

The yard also signed a contract for a Bilgin 164, Alfulk. This 49.90 metre yacht features a traditional bow, and will be powered by twin 1650 hp Caterpillar 3512C engines, with which she will cruise at 13 knots, with a maximum of 16 knots.

There will be guest accommodation up to 12 guests, in a master stateroom, 1 VIP cabin, and 4 guest cabins. Both superyachts are designed by H2 Yacht Design.
