Yacht designers sign up for inaugural Abu Dhabi Yacht Show

Recent sign-ups announced by the organisers of Abu Dhabi Yacht Show include four major designers who join the growing list of companies acknowledging the importance of attending the 2009 Abu Dhabi Yacht Show, 12th – 14th March 2009.

UK based Rainsford Saunders Design, The Netherlands based Struik Hamerslag Yacht Interiors as well as Dubai based interior yacht design agencies Greenline Group and Pino Meroni Yacht Interiors will have a presence at the show, which takes place at the luxurious Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) and adjoining pontoon facilities.

Over 100 companies are expected to exhibit and over 20 superyachts will be displayed, including French luxury yachting group Rodriquez, which will be taking a 32m Mangusta. US builder Westport will be showing a 40m yacht within the pontoon area of the specially built marina. Also in the marina will be Dubai based IFA Yachts, a specialist yacht ownership club and sales agent for Maiora Yachts, which will be showcasing a yacht and has booked adjoining pontoon space and a stand within ADNEC.

Over 30 professional megayacht companies have already signed up such as shipyards Bolici Yachts, Burger Boat Company, Cantieri Navali Lavagna, CRN Spa, Danish Yachts, Devonport, Fincantierie Yachts, Palm Marine, Palmer Johnson, Rodriguez Group, Trinity Yachts and Westport Shipyard at what is destined to become, according to Group Director of Abu Dhabi Yacht Show, Franck Dailles, ‘The megayacht show for buyers in the Gulf region.’ Brokerage companies Edmiston and Northrop & Johnson have also recently confirmed their attendance at the show.

Other recent sign-ups include marina developers operating in the UAE, such as Abu Dhabi based company Aldar Marinas, which is developing the marinas for the Al Raha beach project and the upcoming Formula One track. Also exhibiting is world renowned Island Global Yachting (IGY), which is developing the marinas of the Palm and the World Islands in Dubai.
