A fire broke out at Loano Marina on board the 28.9-metre yacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/8207" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Lady Vanilla28.9m (94'10&quot;)Custom Line Spa2002">Lady Vanilla</a> on Friday 2 October. The local firefighters were soon on the scene and continued to fight the flames for over two hours before the 2002 <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/112" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Custom Line Spa (Company)">Custom Line</a> yacht was finally extinguished. All neighbouring yachts were moved away from the fire and nobody was reported injured.&nbsp;It is thought that the fire might have been caused by some batteries overheating in the yacht’s engine room.
