The dynamic and ever expanding luxury yacht company YCO celebrated the opening of their new London offices in style last month in partnership with Lamborghini London.
Over 150 high net worth individuals, including several well known names and faces, came together in the South Kensington Lamborghini showrooms last Thursday 23rd October to mark the growth of YCO into the UK’s Capital. Guests mingled to the sound of a live DJ between the new Lamborghini Gallardo, a scale model of the groundbreaking concept yacht White Night, designed by Igor Lobanov for Lürssen and a to scale ice replica of a 62m Icon design from Bannenberg, before moving across the road to finish the evening in local glitterati hotspot, Boujis.
The increasing demand from their Clients for Yacht Charter and Management services over the last year is what has brought Monaco based YCO to London, with new offices now operating from the heart of Chelsea. “As an important financial centre and a hub for the global elite, it is key for YCO to have physical representation in London. We have no doubt that London will lead the way in the economic recovery and will continue to be a very exciting place to be.” says Charlie Birkett, a Partner at YCO.
YCO also had excellent cause to celebrate as in direct contradiction to trends seen across European industry over the past 6 months, the company, which specialises in every aspect of Luxury Yachting, has just enjoyed the most successful summer season in their history, chartering larger yachts for longer periods of time than ever before. Gary Wright, Managing Partner of YCO, oversees the Charter operation and comments “YCO specialises in the luxury side of the market, and in contrast to other areas in the charter industry, this 60m plus arena is experiencing consistently strong demand.”
