Description
With a fascinating history throughout the twentieth century, this 49m schooner was designed by A. S. Chesebrough in 1905 as one of the last big classic yachts.
Lovingly restored 2001 to 2003 by experienced and specialized italian
companies, the interior design was completed in a most attractive and modern
style.
The saloon situated amidships hosts starboard a dining area with a settee in
leather and the extendable table, plus a cosy bar with antique brass stools on
the opposite. The oak floor with marquetry and the cherrywood wall panelling
takes you back to a long bygone era of elegance.
The passageway leading aft to the guest cabins splits to pass either side of the
main mast. A beautiful circular lobby leads towards the curved double doors of
the twin bedded main cabin, being both, spacious and very traditional, with
curved deck-beams, double skylights overhead and a double bathroom.
On both sides the lobby opens to two twin bedded guest cabins, each en suite.
Forward to the saloon are a fully-equipped modern galley, dinette and two crew
twin cabins while the captain owns a double cabin.
The engineroom is completely modern and immaculate and except for the
original compass binnacle, everything else on the yacht has been replaced. The
schooner stands out for an easily-driven hull of classic wineglass section, deep
draught, long overhangs and an absolute cloud of sail.
This fabulous, unique and fast sailing yacht is looking for a traditional and
classic yacht enthusiast ready to sail around the world.
