Description
Alexia is a performance 30-meter (100-foot) sloop featuring the water ballast combined with a fixed keel with trim tab. This new technology was selected by the designer Javier Soto Acebal, who explains: “The owner’s brief was to have all the cruising comforts and race successfully in the Med circuit. After having analysed many alternatives, simplicity directed us to this solution. Furthermore, the trim tab was included to improve the hydrodynamic performance of the keel area.”
The deck of the Wally 98 is characterised by a large manoeuvring area aft the twin helm stations located aft the social cockpit and far forward to offer better visibility to the helmsman. Two companionways give access below deck: the main one from the central cockpit into the salon, and the aft one from the manoeuvring area to the navigation station and the crew quarters. Alexia accommodates six guests and four crew. All cabins have en suites.
As a result of the intensive Research & Development programme carried out by the designers, of the advanced building technology and the Wally features, the Wally 98 is a simple yet stylish super yacht with true all-round performance.
