74m Amels project 7402 construction update

The second hull in the new Amels’ Limited Editions 242 range is getting ready to be transported to the shipyard’s facilities in Vlissingen, the Netherlands. Sold to her owner by Fraser Yachts, the 74 metre superyacht is expected to be completed in 2017. Amels launched the first hull in the series, project Freefall, just ahead of the end of 2015.

The second project keeps to the line’s elegant and sleek Tim Heywood design, with the owner having selected fellow British designer Andrew Winch to create his customised interior. It is this level of customisation, paired with an expedited delivery time, that Rob Luijendijk, Amels Managing Director, contributes the LE series’ success to. “This yacht will have a very different character to the first AMELS 242. This is precisely why our Limited Editions concept has worked so well. The customisation, the very high level of quality and the proven platform, combined with faster delivery, creates a very attractive proposition.”
