70m concept superyacht Sprint revealed by DeBasto Designs at Design & Innovation Hub

Initially presented at the Design & Innovation Hub at the Monaco Yacht Show last week, is the 70-metre concept superyacht Sprint. The design was penned by DeBasto Designs for a client and it draws heavily upon the aesthetic of fastback cars, a famous example of which is the Porsche 911.Sprint yacht concept by Luiz DeBasto Design“Fastback is defined by a line that runs from the roof of the car all the way down to  the rear bumper. Some fastback cars are considered to be the most iconic in the history of the automobile, such as the Bugatti Atlantic, the Citroen DS and the Porsche 911,” designer Luiz DeBasto explained. The resulting design is centered around, “three long lines that start very narrow at the swim platform, enlarge as they rise to become horizontal decks and then taper again defining the profile by visually jumping forward. The aft decks project aft to create open spaces,” he continued.Sprint yacht concept by Luiz DeBasto DesignSprint yacht concept by Luiz DeBasto DesignSprint features a spacious owner’s stateroom with a private staircase connecting to the owner’s lounge forward. The lounge space is also accessed by two VIP staterooms, situated on the upper deck, allowing the space to be enjoyed as an intimate family space. The remaining four guest staterooms are located on the main deck.Sprint yacht concept by Luiz DeBasto DesignOn deck, a touch-and-go helipad is found to the bow while a massive beach club is situated at the yacht’s transom. The beach club area is complete with a sauna, a gym, a massage room, a lounge and a complete wellness centre. Fold-out platforms provide this area with additional space. The beach club and wellness centre are accessed via the yacht’s interior or from the exterior aft deck.Sprint yacht concept by Luiz DeBasto Design
