Balk Shipyard welcomed the 1985-built Feadship superyacht Charisma to its facility in Urk, the Netherlands this week. Following her recent sale in September, the 46.3-metre classic returned to her home country for a comprehensive refit over the coming winter period.
Over the next few months, Charisma will receive a full new exterior coat of paint, receive a new teak deck in certain areas, and have a larger bow thruster fitted. Work on her interior will include the build of a brand new massage room, replacement of household equipment, and various improvements to the guest areas throughout the yacht.
In terms of engineering work, Charisma will receive an eco-friendlier, generator control system, have her main switchboard upgraded and a complete overhaul of technical systems in the engine room.
Work on the refit project will kick off over the next few weeks when the yacht will be moved inside Balk’s refit facility. She is expected to be re-launched in the summer of 2017.
