Feadship has announced the launch of a new subsidiary named Feadship Refit & Services which is set to implement the Dutch shipyard’s new customer support strategy. The new company, which will consolidate a number of services offered by Feadship’s three separate yards, will offer support and quality control to the yard’s international fleet in order to protect “the pedigree of the Feadship fleet.”
It will also take over the refit design and engineering operations formerly run by Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects and incorporate the fourth Feadship yard in Amsterdam when it opens in May 2019. “Whether you wish to rebuild the engine room, have an extension or install a new interior, there’s no place like the home yards, where the obsessive perfection to detail of the Feadship craftsmen secures the uniquity of a Feadship,” says Pier Posthuma de Boer, director of Feadship Refit & Services. 
“These yards have been chosen because of their excellent reputation and the fact that Feadship has successfully worked with them on previous Feadship refit and maintenance projects,” notes Posthuma de Boer. The final division, the Feadship Authentication Certificate is split into two models - one to issue a quality standard for new builds and the other for existing Feadship. New builds will be given a certificate at launch as well as documentation which can be updated following maintenance and servicing activities that have taken place at network yards, once the quality levels are approved by Feadship.
