The main saloon will feature a lounge to port, a wine cellar that will act as a focal point, and a dining table to starboard, complemented by a stylish bar upon entry.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/279736/image/large-6abacba4848f315dfe277994f216db0d.png" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/279736">The sundeck is uniquely designed to house a square-shaped sit-up bar, thoughtfully situated to trace the forward curve. According to online sources, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6792" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Nebula Yacht (Company)">Nebula Yacht</a> is also currently working on a 57-metre motor yacht, expected for delivery in summer 2024.

Nebula Yachts secures deal to construct 63m NBL103

Construction has been initiated on the second hull of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2428" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="ADA Yacht Works (Company)">Ada Yacht Works</a>; 50-metre 50Z yacht series, NB102, at the shipyard in Bodrum, Turkey. The 497 GT superyacht was sold by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4830" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Aqua Marina Yachts Ltd. (Company)">Aqua Marina Yacht</a> and follows the path paved by its predecessor, hull one, which began construction in February. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/278829/image/large-0eb96a466a40cd0022b0c7c8a4911823.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/278829">Both hulls feature exterior design by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2955" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Uldas Yacht Design (Company)">Uldas Yacht Design</a>, while her interior was penned by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/58" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Luca Dini Design & Architecture (Company)">Luca Dini Design &amp; Architecture</a>, with naval architecture by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/285" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ginton Naval Architects (Company)">Ginton Naval Architects</a>. The first one, situated on the main deck forward, is graced with a private balcony, accompanied by a Jacuzzi and oversized windows that offer breathtaking ocean views, even from the comfort of the bed.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/256004/image/large-9b1de4cb9e9fdc9ac53b71e838a14e44.png" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/256004">The second owner's suite is positioned on the upper deck aft, offering stunning views of the surroundings. It opens up to a private terrace adorned with inviting loungers, a Jacuzzi, and a well-equipped bar. Another remarkable feature on the NB102 yacht is the second swimming pool located on the foredeck, bordered by fixed sun pads. SYT takes a look at some of the yachts attending this year’s TYBA Charter Show 2023.

Her cascading aft decks are generous in size and offer guests plenty of opportunity to enjoy the alfresco lifestyle. The centrepiece of her beach club is a plunge pool, which is surrounded by loungers.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/256003/image/large-0e40657cdbb13dc5e64b91d05faa754a.png" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/256003">Thanks to hydraulic wings, the space can expand to welcome even more guests to enjoy the space. Her owner's suite is voluminous and comes complete with a private balcony, a Jacuzzi and large sweeping windows that offer panoramic views. The Ada 50 Z can also host ten crew across five cabins.&nbsp;While her exterior design and build are Turkish, her interior spaces are all Italian, curated by the Florence-based studio <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/58" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Luca Dini Design & Architecture (Company)">Luca Dini</a>. The Ada 50 Z&nbsp; has a modern interior design and boasts an impressive saloon and dining area. <a href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="TYBA Yacht Charter Show - 2022">TYBA Yacht Charter Show</a> is a wrap – and what an event it was. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4936" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="TYBA Yacht Charter Show (Company)">Turkey’s Yachting &amp; Brokers Association</a> (<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4936" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="TYBA Yacht Charter Show (Company)">TYBA</a>) worked in cooperation with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4263" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="D-Marin Göcek (Company)">Göcek D-Marin</a>, to ensure that this newly picked location ran smoothly between 6-10th of May. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/226282/image/large-5428863f805a50246ed2d96ed8a8d3b9.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/226282">Many brokers and attendees had made their rounds earlier in the year: <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1334" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="MYBA Charter Show - 2022">MYBA Charter Show</a>, in Barcelona, followed by the <a href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Mediterranean Yacht Show - 2022">Mediterranean Yacht Show</a> in Nafplio, Greece. To smooth the transition from show to show, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4936" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="TYBA Yacht Charter Show (Company)">TYBA</a> organised a transfer from Athens to Dalaman. The charter plane cut out all nonsense, as it saved the hassle of transferring in Istanbul and getting multiple flights. It was also offered at a reduced cost – €150 per person. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/226276/image/large-1166ad9078ad52884cb81832ab156523.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/226276">The event itself was a roaring success and the newly located site in Göcek played a key role in this. As a destination, it’s gorgeous. It also benefits from having a town a walking distance from the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4263" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="D-Marin Göcek (Company)">D-Marin</a>, the marina that hosted the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4936" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="TYBA Yacht Charter Show (Company)">TYBA Yacht Charter Show</a>, meaning that participants and guests could easily get to and from the show. Each morning seminars were held at the D-Resort Conference Hall in the town centre. The talks covered a range of themes; but a unifying theme was Turkey as destination. Dr. Nesimi Ozan Veryeri from the WWF was invited to discuss the importance of responsible anchorage, highlighting the environmental, social and economic impact that is inevitable if we don’t protect Persedonia; seagrass native in the Mediterranean. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/226280/image/large-cfa34247c8fc1c9fa9f7189c59de4851.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/226280">Serhan Cengiz, Managing Director of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6712" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Vela Dare Yachts (Company)">Vela Dare Yachting</a> and Committee President of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4936" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="TYBA Yacht Charter Show (Company)">TYBA</a>, took the stand the following day, and shared his knowledge of the culturally rich coastline of Turkey. The challenge was to create a four course meal for a jury of three judges from a “mystery box” of ingredients, supplied by Carrefour. Each kitchen had two hours to prepare the meal. Whisky tasting on DragonFly, hosted by Goolets, through to late night dancing on <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/12130" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Simay M 26.0m (85'4&quot;)S Yachting 2015">Simay M</a>. The crowning event though was the Gala Dinner, held across the bay. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4936" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="TYBA Yacht Charter Show (Company)">TYBA</a> organised boats to transport the guests to the soiree. Her builder <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5014" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="TurkYacht (Company)">Turkyacht</a> penned her interior to emulate that of a boutique hotel, with clean minimalist detailing and a finish that you’d expect on a motor yacht. &nbsp;“These modern styled gulets are becoming more commonplace now; and there are a few designed with a large swim platform and staterooms on the lower deck, emulating the GA of a motor yacht” yacht broker, Nicolò Venturi of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6711" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ocean Yachting Srl. The quality and finish are certainly scalar; and as diverse as the yachts themselves – there’s no skirting that fact. But for many that’s not that an issue, as to cruise the coastline of Turkey what better way to do it than in a vessel that has a long heritage. The other major perk is that the amount of space on offer easily overshadows that of a sailing yacht of a similar size. The general consensus at the event was that there isn’t a typical gulet charter client; politicians, retirees and party-going 18-30-year-olds. Just across the Bungus Bay, Göcek, was a star-studded line up of superyachts at the newly acquired Port Azure. The marina is the first dedicated superyacht marina in Turkey. It boasts 20 berths and the capacity to dock anything up to 120-metres. Of the lack of timeslots to accommodate custom builds thus lengthening lead times Jean-Claude Carme of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4547" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="TWW Yachts (Company)">TWW Yachts</a> comments, “ Builders with a healthy order book may not always have a build slot consistent with the owner’s expectations in terms of timing. As an example, I am currently involved in a project where the choice of the builder is largely determined by its commitment to deliver in a relatively short time. The ability of a builder to invest in semi-custom, “speculative” yacht projects (as seen routinely in Italy and Holland for example) can be a highly desirable asset.”3. What range would you like your superyacht to have?The emergence and lasting presence of the Covid-19 pandemic has forced owner’s and prospective owner’s to reconsider the destinations that they cruise to. How to choose the right shipyard for your new build

If you’re in the world of tech, chances are you’ve probably heard of Ron Zuckerman. Chairman of LA-based information technology company RayV Inc and Co-Founder of the insurance software giant Sapiens International Corp, Zuckerman has amassed serious success and fortune over the past 40 years in business. Splitting his time between Tel Aviv and the rest of the world - namely California and Turkey - today, the Israeli-born IT entrepreneur is one of the most prominent tech investors around. <img src="https://sya.superyachttimes.com/uploads/store/photo/90979/image/large-8f376494281394c9ca83e347e155009d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/90979">After chartering yachts for almost two decades and taking the plunge into a new build superyacht project in 2016, Zuckerman’s interest in other industries was piqued. Now it’s not just tech that Ron Zuckerman astutely invests in, but also the superyacht business. Inviting experts of Dutch-engineering to the table and pouring years of sailing and superyacht charter experience into every aspect of the build, Zuckerman quickly realised that this was something he enjoyed. “The first boat was more of a private boat,” he says.&nbsp;“I enjoyed everything about the project - the building, visiting the shipyard, doing the walk around…”.&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/44546/image/large-7d1f7a3dc18137cc3572ff22aeacc029.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/44546">Like so many superyacht owners before him, Zuckerman had gotten a taste for boat building. While most will opt for the more traditional route of enjoying the fruits of their labour for a year or two before selling and starting the construction process all over again, Zuckerman was truly bitten by the bug to build.&nbsp;Upon delivery of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7031" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="All About U49.9m (163'9&quot;)ADA Yacht Works2018">All About U</a> in 2018, construction immediately commenced on the 50-metre sistership to his inaugural superyacht. “The hobby was already starting to resemble a new company. It’s my business to invest in companies, so we invested in a new one: Global Impact Yachting. We immediately started construction on the sistership,&nbsp;<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7254" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="All About U 249.9m (163'9&quot;)ADA Yacht Works2019">All About U 2</a>, and we brought the first yacht to the&nbsp;<a href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Monaco Yacht Show - 2018">Monaco Yacht Show 2018</a>. As a long list of closed shipyards is a testament to, building yachts is not for the faint-hearted. But within just two years of turning his hand to building superyachts, Zuckerman is already tasting the sweetness of success. <img src="https://sya.superyachttimes.com/uploads/store/photo/91050/image/large-9de8089a53876cac816d2b8ccf9d8a0c.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/91050"><a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7254" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="All About U 249.9m (163'9&quot;)ADA Yacht Works2019">All About U 2</a> was delivered in summer 2019 and is currently listed <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yachts/all-about-u-2/for-sale" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">for sale</a>. Global Impact Yachting also has a 50-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/212" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Benetti SpA (Company)">Benetti</a> scheduled for completion in June 2020 and sold even before launch, and another 60-metre sailing yacht at <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2428" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="ADA Yacht Works (Company)">ADA Yacht Works</a>. “Maybe we got lucky,” muses Zuckerman, “but things are really going well. The first owner that bought&nbsp;<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7031" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="All About U49.9m (163'9&quot;)ADA Yacht Works2018">All About U&nbsp;</a>was someone I knew for many years. I hadn’t been in touch with him, but he heard that I had built a boat, so he gave us a call. The second boat we sold, I was introduced to the buyer when people started to know us.” <img src="https://sya.superyachttimes.com/uploads/store/photo/91467/image/large-df7ef8c6fdef7f5b152c112781bf875a.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/91467">The hobby has, indeed, transformed into something else entirely. The flourishing business partnered up with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/158" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Fraser (Company)">Fraser</a> earlier this year, which has strengthened selling power, evolving from just one well-connected network to a professional database of potential clients. The long term goal? Two new yachts launched per year, with Zuckerman and his team working with a variety of clients to realise their custom superyacht dreams. Perhaps offering something clients can seldom get elsewhere: first-hand owner perspective and almost limitless financial backing. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/91498/image/large-bde833bf9ae214ef73089be8f82f3c3d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/91498">“This is completely separate. It is my hobby,” Zuckerman continues.&nbsp;“Sometimes they tell me at the shipyard that I put too much pressure on it, but I tell them, in high-tech, we have to deliver on time. These guys work 20 hours a day, with pizza being delivered to them and they sleep in the office to get it done. I bring this culture to the yachting culture. Most yacht projects that are delayed it is also related to finances. This is not a problem for us.”<img src="https://sya.superyachttimes.com/uploads/store/photo/90873/image/large-b6e0f92b6d26bc27cf5471394d19ca55.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/90873">Here SYT sits down with Zuckerman to hear more about how a successful businessman’s boat-building hobby has evolved into a new superyacht production company on a mission.&nbsp;What was your experience with yachting before you started building?I’ve been sailing for the past 20 years - a few weeks every summer since we had our first child. We usually chartered yachts in August, starting with Turkish gulets and eventually moving up to larger sailing yachts and motor yachts. By spending so much private time on boats, I’ve learned what’s good and what’s not when it comes to all aspects of living on a yacht and actually using it. I finally decided to pour this knowledge into a build of my own in 2016. <img src="https://sya.superyachttimes.com/uploads/store/photo/46101/image/large-466a6e20f4762efcb4d0a83f313be4a8.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/46101">You went with&nbsp;<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2428" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="ADA Yacht Works (Company)">ADA Yacht Works</a>&nbsp;for your first superyacht build. What lead you to Turkey?I knew I would only build if I found a good partner in a great shipyard. There are so many shipyards offering a lot of different options, and it’s essential to find the right one for you. We looked in Turkey and found <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2428" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="ADA Yacht Works (Company)">ADA Yacht Works</a>. Once we’d found them, it was instantaneous - we immediately started to build. We moved fast, and we knew what we wanted. <img src="https://sya.superyachttimes.com/uploads/store/photo/46111/image/large-21d802dade1abf2d7e294f8705e99bbc.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/46111">For example, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7031" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="All About U49.9m (163'9&quot;)ADA Yacht Works2018">All About U</a> has a mast of 65 metres. For that, you need a keel which is five to six metres, which restricts how you can use the boat. You will struggle to find accommodating marinas, and you can’t go into the Caribbean at all. So we already had a solution - we brought in a couple of top naval engineers from the Netherlands, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/285" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ginton Naval Architects (Company)">Ginton Naval Architects</a>, and they designed a keel which is 3.5 metres. What can you tell us?We completed <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7254" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="All About U 249.9m (163'9&quot;)ADA Yacht Works2019">All About U 2</a> this summer, and now we are finishing the design and doing the first welding for a new 60-metre sailboat at <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2428" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="ADA Yacht Works (Company)">ADA Yacht Works</a>. The 50-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/212" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Benetti SpA (Company)">Benetti</a> under construction in Italy is already sold and is on track for a June 2020 delivery. The eventual goal of Global Impact Yachting is to launch two yachts a year. Right now, we’re in discussion for a yacht concept featuring our special design input. They buy it on paper, and we build it for them. <img src="https://sya.superyachttimes.com/uploads/store/photo/90911/image/large-0eb64ea50c9d18bed21b8a1fd14c0eea.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/90911">Will you also act as a broker?No, Global Impact Yachting is a production company. We develop custom superyacht projects with clients from the beginning of their yacht construction project. We work with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/158" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Fraser (Company)">Fraser</a> for the brokerage side - they are doing a great job. When we first started, we used a lot of our own network. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/158" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Fraser (Company)">Fraser</a> brings a lot of new clients to the door. To be successful, you have to have a special product, a special approach and special branding. With <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7031" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="All About U49.9m (163'9&quot;)ADA Yacht Works2018">All About U&nbsp;</a>and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7254" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="All About U 249.9m (163'9&quot;)ADA Yacht Works2019">All About U 2</a>, superyacht sailing is a very niche part of the market. At the same time, the younger generation is more connected to green issues, and sailing yachts appeal to that. What makes <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/7031" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="All About U49.9m (163'9&quot;)ADA Yacht Works2018">All About U</a> stand out is that she is a hybrid: you walk around the decks, and it feels like a motor yacht. It’s the best of both worlds. More young people and people from different backgrounds will be introduced to yachting soon. Whenever we have an exit in our area in California, I usually know the entrepreneur. They go home with 20 million dollars, two billion dollars, whatever, and the next thing we do is speak to them. They want to relax a little. Yachting is also a family thing, and more people realise that. I think the fact that my kids spend a few weeks every year on the seas is fantastic. They love the yachting lifestyle - all of their friends will join them on board. They are 18 years old, and they have fun together and have a great time. The 47.5-metre superyacht Nerissa has been sold due to the successful collaboration between Istanbul-based shipyard <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1414" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Bilgin Yachts (Company)">Bilgin</a> and Thompson Westwood &amp; White. Turk Yachts is celebrating the launch of its flagship superyacht today as the 49.9-metre motor sailer All About U took to the water in Bodrum earlier this morning.
