British design studio <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6643" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Coquine![design] (Company)">coquine![design]</a> has unveiled the renderings for a new sailing yacht concept, Crystal. The eye-catching design measures in at 100-metres and features a very different styling approach which results in very varied and versatile spaces.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/237331/image/large-710f0f0736cea1e5b55a4498014a7165.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/237331">The superyacht concept Crystal comes from designer Christian Leyk <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Article/55581" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Designer Christian Leyk on his 49m family explorer superyacht concept Coba (2022-07-18 10:30:00 +0200)">who unveiled his 49-metre family explorer superyacht concept, Coba, last month</a>. During this time, Christian also had the pleasure to work on many concept designs. One of these turned out to become the world’s second DynaRig yacht, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/64" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Oceanco (Company)">Oceanco</a>’s 106.7-metre superyacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/4795" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Black Pearl106.7m (350'1&quot;)Oceanco2018">Black Pearl</a>.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/237327/image/large-5f4048f4eddf10969b4766f9696f3205.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/237327">The three-masted schooner Crystal stands out from the crowd, thanks to her geometric glazing that mimics that of a gemstone. Crystal is defined by traditional flowing arches and curves to create a sleek profile. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/237328/image/large-baa15b6a6c4498dd2d24de260c59dbd6.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/237328">For the interior, well known designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5313" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Alexandre Thiriat (Company)">Alexandre Thiriat</a> has been invited to the project, and for the engineering <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6643" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Coquine![design] (Company)">coquine![design]</a> has been in contact with some parties who made the predecessor such an outstanding masterpiece.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/237329/image/large-cd16c8bb0249a16abd1493d8f59b22db.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/237329">The sailing yacht Crystal has been designed to emphasise the interaction between indoor and outdoor spaces by letting in plenty of natural light and creating shadows where necessary. She is able to accommodate up to 12 guests, including a full beam owner’s stateroom with folding balconies.&nbsp;Other amenities include a lovely beach club with gym, a garage for tenders and toys forward, a welcoming swimming pool aft, generous lounge spaces on main and upper deck, and a well equipped wine cellar.&nbsp;In terms of performance, Crystal has the same sustainability credentials as her bigger sister. She should be able to cross the Atlantic Ocean without using any fuel under normal conditions. Another advantage of the DynaRig is how easy it is to use, which allows for more time under sails than on a conventional sailing yacht.

The team draws on inspiration from generations of innovation to create an impressive aluminium yacht. Legacy 135’s interior is decorated with warm, rich tones by French designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5313" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Alexandre Thiriat (Company)">Alexandre Thiriat</a>, who has designed her with industrial and art deco influences. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/208971/image/large-eb830c3592b31123760974d5ca972d37.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/208971">Legacy 135 is currently in-build so her interior can be customised to fit the owners requirements. She has been designed with an impressive headroom of almost nine feet. The Legacy 70 also comes in a larger model size, Legacy 80 which measures in at 24-metres. Legacy Superyachts have released new renderings of their 40-metre yacht Legacy 135. Built by GHI Yachts, she was originally named Phoenix 130.

The Cynthesis 180 concept has been unveiled – she's a catamaran that does things differently. The Cynthesis 180 comes in at 58.3-metres in length and has been designed by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5313" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Alexandre Thiriat (Company)">Alexandre Thiriat</a> and Christian Leyk of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6643" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Coquine![design] (Company)">Coquine![design]</a> who penned her interior and exterior respectively. She has twin decks that span her 17-metre beam and a slightly smaller sun deck that flaunts undisturbed 360-degree views and plenty of opportunity to unwind, thanks to numerous clusters of diverse seating arrangements where guests can either wine and dine alfresco, or soak up the sun in a more informal setting on her sunloungers. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/218885/image/large-6f1a31a58069f02797ae92b349e303a6.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/218885">Christian Leyk kept this design ethos at the forefront of the agenda across every deck space, fitting multiple areas to socialise and unwind at every corner. Forward of her main deck is more practical as it’s home to a D11 helipad and boasts an impressive open area for physical activities. To aft, however, Cynthesis 180 has deep cascading deck areas that culminate at a swim platform on the water’s edge. In terms of performance, the Cynthesis 180 is expected to have a 5,000 nautical mile range when cruising at 8 knots.&nbsp;To fully maximise the yachting experience, Cynthesis 180 has been designed with a shallow draft to open up more destinations for her owner and she’s been equipped with a whole garage full of toys.&nbsp;According to the design studio, Cynthesis 180 has already captured attention as two brokerage firms are talking to potential clients and a further three owner representatives have been in contact about the yacht.&nbsp;
