Bilgin Yachts has unveiled a new Tony Castro designed superyacht project. Her aft deck will feature an infinity swimming pool, and her main 15 ft and 19 ft tenders are stored on the foredeck.Bilgin tells us the yacht can be delivered in 18 months, and her asking price is € 17,500,000. Eric Louis Lepeingle of Sunseeker Cannes and Viare Yachts of Monaco have jointly listed the 2009 sunseeker 34 metre Superyacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/5485" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Frivolous33.91m (111'3&quot;)">Arabella</a> for sale. Superyacht Kestrel to debut at Antibes Yacht Show

ECOsuperyacht is partnering with the Antibes Yacht Show 2012 for the second year running by offsetting all the carbon emissions arising from this year’s event. Last year’s highly successful show, which saw 13,000 visitors attend, was estimated to have generated 350 tonnes of carbon emissions from sources such as shore power for the Yachts attending the show, the show facilities themselves and from the exhibitors and visitors attending the show from all around the World. Petra Malloier, the Show’s organiser says: “We’re very pleased to be partnering again with ECOsuperyacht. With Pendennis’ 20+ years experience and over 150 refit projects in the portfolio, and Devonport’s expertise in the 60m+ market, the companies have joined forces to expand the offering at Pendennis’ base in the UK. These flexible and more spacious facilities, in addition to the Main Hall (at 70m long x 40m wide), have increased Pendennis’ capabilities allowing a total of six yachts to be in the yard currently undergoing refit/completion works. While the new Curvelle 33 metre catamaran motoryacht can be purchased outright for a remarkably competitive €8m. CSO Yachts to show M/Y Familia at the Antibes Yacht show

Antibes Yacht Show 2009 has taken action to balance estimated carbon emissions from the event, in partnership with Yacht Carbon Offset. This follows its similar action in 2008, for the show that saw the launch of Yacht Carbon Offset’s specialist service. This Carbon Offset balances the greenhouse gas emissions due to estimated electricity consumption at the Show, including shore power for the yachts, plus allowances for deliveries &amp; business travel by exhibitors. The carbon balance is achieved through equivalent emissions savings delivered by independently verified green energy projects around the world. The Partners are inviting attending yachts to Carbon Offset estimated fuel used to reposition the vessels. Look out for individual certificates on board participating yachts at the Show. Antibes Yacht Show’s action, and that of the attending yachts that participate, reflects best environmental practice amongst leading luxury yachts. An increasing number now Carbon Offset their fuel to pro-actively address greenhouse gas emissions whilst preserving the full performance and luxury of the yacht. Yacht Carbon Offset and Antibes Yacht Show continue their partnership in 2009

Saturday April 4th the second Crew Show will be held in association with the Antibes Yacht Show. The first CrewShow was held on 17th April 2008 in association with the Antibes Yacht Show, located against the outside wall of the Millionaires Quay, and despite ending early due to torrential rain all the participants very much enjoyed the day. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/126840/image/large-1b15e92f7844e453ecc9b46058220103.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/126840">“As the only real problem encountered in CrewShow’s first year was the weather, 2009 will see the very welcome addition of a marquee and they have a slight change of venue,” says Celia Wagstaff, organizer of the CrewShow. “One of CrewShow’s distinguishing features is to be as interactive as possible, aiming towards a really fun day out." This year the Antibes Yacht Show will be carbon balanced – thanks to an exciting new partnership with Yacht Carbon Offset. Responding to current concerns about the environmental impact of greenhouse gas emissions, Yacht Carbon Offset has launched a specialised voluntary Carbon Offsetting service for yachts - a service that empowers yacht-owners and captains to balance their CO2 emissions by making CO2 savings elsewhere in the world. It all sounds great – but how does it work? Managing Director Mark Robinson explains: “We begin by calculating the CO2 emissions from the yachts’ engines, taking into account the different specifications of fuel used. Then we approach the international carbon trading markets and purchase the corresponding quantity of high quality carbon credits. These credits fund programmes which are independently verified and would not take place without this support – examples are renewable power, methane recovery, energy efficiency and other carefully selected projects worldwide. We deliver a verifiable certificate to the client showing the fuel purchased really has been carbon balanced.” Yacht Carbon Offset recognises that restriction on the use of yachts, helicopters and water toys would detract from the enjoyment of ownership and chartering. Balancing carbon emissions with Yacht Carbon Offset is a practical way to make a real difference without compromising on the prime purpose of owning or chartering a yacht – to have some fun!
