SYT’s Francesca Webster caught up with the team of the newly founded <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6470" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="BGB Yachts (Company)">BGB Group</a> during their exhibition in Cannes. BGB yachts has just purchased rights, projects and moulds to produce the <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/companies/dl" target="_blank">Dreamline Yachts</a>, the well established shipyard building custom yachts just outside of Ancona in Italy. The new company will continue to build <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4338" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="DL Yachts (Company)">Dreamline</a> vessels at the original site, but now combining the expertise of the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6470" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="BGB Yachts (Company)">BGB</a> team and the history of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4338" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="DL Yachts (Company)">Dreamline</a> to continue the story of the well respected company.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/204953/image/large-ebcc505d573ccb4ed5887fd82cef71dc.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/204953">The owner of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6470" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="BGB Yachts (Company)">BGB</a>, Loris Požar, has had a long history with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4338" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="DL Yachts (Company)">Dreamline</a>, having owned a <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4338" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="DL Yachts (Company)">DL</a> yacht himself in the past, he decided to pursue the acquisition of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4338" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="DL Yachts (Company)">Dreamline</a> as a demonstration of his confidence, love, and affinity towards the brand.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/205145/image/large-80693f8f12ce4182c4f81a212c95e415.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/205145">Currently exhibiting at the show in Cannes is the 28-metre motor yacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/8961" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Manikim28.0m (91'10&quot;)BGB Yachts2021">Manikim</a>, which has been designed in tandem with Enrico Gobbi of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1197" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Team 4 Design (Company)">Team for Design</a>, who will continue to design the line of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6470" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="BGB Yachts (Company)">BGB</a> vessels.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/204950/image/large-4b1fb8c23e696b02f48d040102f73b8c.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/204950"><img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/204946/image/large-27dd00096084b112612672fafc0bedb0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/204946"><a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/8961" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Manikim28.0m (91'10&quot;)BGB Yachts2021">Manikim</a>, which is the flagship vessel of the newly formed group is a light filled yacht, characterised by the marble and mirrored surfaces which fill the vessel. Large expanses of glass have been used throughout the vessel, flooding the internal volumes with light.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/204948/image/large-4fb8dea93ec62464e9e5921f7e83f46e.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/204948"><img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/204944/image/large-04c704810f642edcc4bc90c45094c555.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/204944"><a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1197" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Team 4 Design (Company)">Gobbi</a> and his team has already designed a now sold 35-metre hull, the keel of which has been laid in Ancona and is due for a January 2023 delivery date. BGB yachts has announced their new division and the purchase of Dreamline Yachts and the display of their first vessel, Manikim.
