Established in 1945 in Limite sull’Arno, and then moved to Darsena Pisana in 1956, on the Canale dei Navicelli, where the company is still based today, Cantieri di Pisa has become a legendary name in yacht building. Now owned by Enrico Gennasio with the aim of creating synergy between companies to revolutionize the current approach to yachting, Cantieri di Pisa draws from its heritage with the purpose to build the most technologically advanced yachts focusing on producing lightweight, high-performance hulls known as EHPH (Eco High Power Hull), which are environmentally friendly. Today, Cantieri di Pisa is focusing its production on 3 family of yachts made of steel, aluminum, and composite materials with a range from 38 to 90m and thanks to the CdP Custom Division is also building custom yachts.
Polaris is a family of steel, aluminum, and composite voyagers with Eco High Power Hull (EHPH) displacement hulls for long-range cruising and low fuel consumption. This first model, the 48, will be followed by Polaris 38 and Super Polaris 60.
The production site, covering over 50,000 square meters, includes new sheds and outdoor yards. Facilities feature a fully equipped dock, a 300-ton travel lift, and a 20-ton service crane. The shipyard offers refitting, mechanical engineering, steelwork, and warehouse services. Inside its facilities Cantieri di Pisa realized many of the most iconic yachts that revolutionized the yachting market, most importantly the Akhir series: the first model launched in 1970 came to symbolize the shipyard thanks not least to the collaboration with Pierluigi Spadolini. From 1945 to 2012, Cantieri di Pisa built and delivered over 700 yachts.
