Yachts attending the TYBA Charter Show 2023

SYT takes a look at some of the yachts attending this year’s TYBA Charter Show 2023.

The 34.75-metre motor yacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/3775" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Amadeus34.7m (113'10&quot;)Dragos Yachts2000">Amadeus</a> is now listed as a <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yachts/for-sale" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">yacht for sale</a>. Built in 2000 by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/718" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Dragos Yachts (Company)">Dragos Yachts</a>&nbsp;and undergoing an extensive refit in 2007, her exteriors and interiors come from the drawing boards of Turkish designers <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2288" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Dr. Haluk Tüzün (Company)">Dr. Haluk Tüzün&nbsp;</a>and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2367" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ugar Kose (Company)">Ugar Kose</a> respectively.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/92541/image/large-445c144df1eb8266216f512b644cfcb9.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/92541"><a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yachts/amadeus/for-sale" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">Yacht Amadeus for sale</a> features an open design in her exteriors with ample space on the main deck for entertaining and a garage below deck for tenders and a wide variety of toys. New to Market: 35m Dragos Yachts motor yacht Amadeus

A devastating fire erupted during the early morning hours on Monday, claiming a total of eight yachts, of which three vessels measured over 30 metres, moored in the Abu Dhabi Marina Yacht Club. Responders were quick on the scene and managed to extinguish the flames before any further damage was caused. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.

According to local sources, one of the yachts involved in the incident was named as the 30.75 metre superyacht Asfar, built by Turkish shipyard Dragos Yachts in 2006. This particular yacht was constructed with a wooden hull and GRP superstructure.

Local authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.

Fire destroys yachts in Abu Dhabi

This 30m planing motor yacht was built by Dragos Yachts for the Chairman of the Bin Moosa Group and is set to be based in Abu Dhabi UAE. The yacht was completed under the supervision James Munn, one of our Monaco based consultants. Great attention to detail and the owner's specific requirements has been paid throughout this most successful venture, creating a uniquely individual yacht. With an unusual five-stateroom layout and below-deck galley, this yacht is a departure from usual raised-pilot-house vessels, and has been conceived specifically for corporate and private use in the Gulf. From writing the specifications and shipyard evaluations, to sea-trials and overseeing the subsequent launch, Ocean Independence has ensured the smooth running of this project and the ultimate satisfaction of our client, who will take delivery of his yacht at the end of November 2006.
