Milanese design studio Federico Fiorentino and Italian high-speed RIB (rigid inflatable boat) builder, SACS with its Bespoke Operation Division (SBO) has teamed up on a new concept project named&nbsp;X-80. The 24-metre-long cruiser is the latest result of the duo’s collaborative efforts following several smaller RIBS created by the pair in the past.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/57031/image/large-77f6e351f0244569a19005daf1153dab.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/57031">The X-80 is designed to operate as a luxury chase boat for larger superyachts and is designed with foam pontoons surrounding the vessel to reduce the effects of impacts on the RIB itself and the mothership. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/57032/image/large-32c551c539d2502ea59bfc9763893597.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/57032"><img src="/uploads/store/photo/57030/image/large-ae2e266d6de1f47a359f196cc400d310.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/57030">Designed for outdoor living as a stand-alone day boat or mothership escape craft to explore shallower waters, the X-80 features 60-square-metres worth of deck space with built-in sunbed and large swim platform for watersports activities. Super RIB: Fiorentino and SACS’ new 24m X-80 luxury chase boat

The Italian yard Rossinavi has teamed up once again with the Milan-based naval architect Federico Fiorentino for a 55-metre all-aluminium superyacht concept called Zephyr.&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/16544/image/large-690409bf405f6fed11e74dfe9dd2490a.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/16544"> Drawing on his background in racing and powerboat design, the naval architect has created an exterior which reflects the muscular bodywork of classic 1950s and 1960s sports cars.&nbsp;Zephyr would also feature the fast displacement XL500 platform created by the Dutch van Oossanen Naval Architects. This hull would stretch Zephyr's 500GT interior over the maximum length possible, in order to achieve a smooth cruising experience on board.&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/16537/image/large-95a38125e3f3521a73cc6b30557d78d4.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/16537">On board, the 55-metre motor yacht accommodates up to 10 guests across five staterooms, with crew quarters accommodating up to nine. Her interior design is from the drawing boards of the Pisa-based interior design studio Pulina DNA, featuring reflective, transparent surfaces and large windows to create a spacious and light atmosphere.&nbsp;One of Zephyr's stand-out features is a fold-out transom which creates a 300 square metre beach club on board, as well as a five-metre glass-sided infinity pool. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/16536/image/large-1a9e2c6f0e75cd1e703bbace876f1a77.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/16536"> <img src="/uploads/store/photo/16547/image/large-e325e1ded0101f6bbee49cdfe229e99f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/16547">Powered by twin MTU 16V4000 M93L engines, she would have an impressive top speed of 32 knots and a cruising speed of 28 knots. At 12 knots, Zephyr would be capable of a transatlantic range of 3,400 nautical miles.&nbsp;For visitors to this year's Fort Lauderdale International Boat show, there is the chance to find out more about the Zephyr project at Rossinavi's stand, as they will be exhibiting a scale model of the concept throughout the show.&nbsp;Other superyacht projects currently under development at Rossinavi include the 52-metre Project Florentia, which was sold recently.&nbsp;

Rossinavi partners with Fiorentino for Zephyr concept

A collaboration between Van Oossanen Naval Architects and designers Federico Fiorentino (exterior) and Cristiano Gatto (interior) has resulted in an exciting new project that further pushes the boundries in what is achievable in terms of onboard guest space on a modern superyacht.

The project is based on Van Oossanen’s new Fast Displacement XL hull form, which is an evolution of their proven Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF). The newly developed concept is designed to offer clients the longest possible waterline length in the respective 22, 300 and 500 GT categories. This approach has its advantages according to Perry van Oossanen which states that by increasing the length by 20%, the new design will result in 10% more interior and up to 40% more exterior deck space. “So it is possible to have a 45+ metre yacht, reaching close to 30 knots, with a 6ft draft, for less than 300GT.”

The exterior design of the vessel is made to match these performance credentials according to Fiorentino: “I gave this yacht a contemporary sleek and sharp look that perfectly combines with the lightness of its generous open spaces. An aggressive attitude reflects the high-performance hull that lies below the waterline.” Inside, accommodation is split across five staterooms on the main and lower decks. For this sub 300 GT design, six crew members will be housed in three en suite cabins in the forward part of the ship.

Key features include a superyacht helipad on the foredeck, an aft-deck infinity pool and a side-loading garage that is large enough to house two Jet Skis as well as a 6.25-metre tender. Van Oossanen adds that this design could be built from an aluminium hull and superstructure to Lloyd’s and ABS standards, compliant to LY3.

The XL-300 will be taken into sales by Thom Conboy of Ocean Independence. “It’s really exciting to be working with Van Oossanen, Fiorentino and Gatto on such a cool project which has an amazing potential for the US market,” he commented.

Van Oossanen targets American market with new XL-300 project

Milanese design studio, Federico Fiorentino, has revealed their latest superyacht concept. Measuring 46-metres, the expedition vessel has been developed in collaboration with the Italian Eurocraft Shipyard and is offered for sale by Yacht &amp; Villa International.

Featuring a striking grey-blue hull with black and chrome accents, up to 10 guests are accommodated on board over five staterooms including a main-deck master suite one full beam VIP cabin, two twin and one double cabin.

With ocean crossing capabilities and optional Ice Class compliance, this vessel is conceived to be able to explore every sea around the world, from the French Riviera to the Antarctic, in absolute comfort and safety. Her designers also note that it is possible to adopt a state-of-the-art green hybrid propulsion to cut fuel consumption, running costs and emissions.

Speaking of the development of the project, Mattia Ruocco of Federico Fiorentino says: “We decided to design an expedition yacht because we recognised that it was the right project for Eurocraft’s fantastic new lineup, in continuity with their build history and expertise in the explorer segment. Yacht &amp; Villa International is the Central Agent for this project, as the company are also currently cooperating with Eurocraft on several other projects. The primary inspiration for the project came about after a very interesting conversation with a yacht broker from the company, who suggested to translate the nature, the strong personality and philosophy of a Range Rover into a yacht concept that features powerful design language, great reliability and ocea​n crossing capabilities.”

This new project is offered for sale with Yacht &amp; Villa International at an asking price of €23,250,000 with a suggested build time of 24 - 30 months.

Eurocraft's 46m expedition superyacht concept

Following the unveiling of the designs for The Belafonte, a 50 metre superyacht concept from designer Federico Fiorentino, towards the end of 2014, the Milan-based design studio has today announced a collaboration with Van Oossanen Naval Architects.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156032/image/large-2ed1c5dcfab7666049355523c8219e96.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156032">The Belafonte will offer performance improvements of up to 30 per cent in displacement speed ranges and up to 20 per cent in semi-displacement speed ranges, boasting top speeds of up to 30 knots. Due to her patented Fast Displacement Hull Form, she will also be able to offer significant fuel savings at lower speeds, turning the new vessel into a transatlantic yacht at 13 knots, and pushing it beyond the transpacific barrier at 9 knots.Commenting on the collaboration with Van Oossanen Naval Architects, Fiorentino comments, “As the yacht was perfectly suited to being coupled with the revolutionary Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF), Mr Perry van Oossanen invested time and resources in a preliminary study on The Belafonte. Federico Fiorentino and the Italian shipyard Eurocraft have joined forces, creating an outstanding 43 metre superyacht named Eldoris. Following the publication of the 50 metre aluminium concept The Belafonte published in November last year, Italian designer Federico Fiorentino has revealed his latest superyacht design. Federico Fiorentino unveils superyacht concept Queequeg

Italian designer Federico Fiorentino has revealed the designs for a new 50 metre full aluminium superyacht concept, The Belafonte. She is particularly notable for her striking exterior design with a distinctive use of traditional elements such as mahogany cap rails and polished steel particulars, mixed with modern lines.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151744/image/large-832b114da4bf66edc46ea71d738375c1.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151744">She will accommodate up to ten guests over five luxurious cabins, consisting of a full beam VIP suite, two twin cabins and one double all located on the lower deck. The owner’s suite is spatially impressive, boasting 84 square metres in total. A reserved lounge area is found in the front of the upper deck which allows the guests a private space on board.The yacht is conceived with a fast displacement hull and will have top speeds between 18 and 24 knots dependent upon the chosen engine configuration. Gaspard Yachts has announced that they are collaborating with Eurocraft on the Eldoris superyacht project.
