Schweers Shipyard1984">Michaela Rose</a> herself is no stranger to the open ocean, having circumnavigated the globe twice, visiting destinations such as Australia, Antarctica and Chile. Designed by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/7" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Diana Yacht Design B.V. (Company)">Diana Yacht Design</a>, she can cover 3,800 nm at 14 knots and has a top speed of 16 knots.

The 59.22 metre explorer yacht Senses is currently in the advanced stages of a refit project which began in August this year. The yacht <a href="#managed-by-application" target="_blank" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Article/44592">arrived</a> in Auckland in July. Built by the Fr. Schweers shipyard in Germany in 1999, Kusch Yachts and Francis Design were in charge of her naval architecture and exterior design of superycht Senses.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/157400/image/large-f49fb60a1b93adf7d593149080ae0b96.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/157400">Currently overseeing the refit is local Auckland company Integrated Marine Group, with Robinson Interiors also involved in the interior refurbishing of the yacht. She was a most unusual superyacht, featuring a non symetrical superstructure, as well as a landing pad on her bow, for a hot air balloon. At a later stage her sundeck was extended during a refit. Her exterior lines were designed by Gerhard Gilgenast and John Munford designed her interior. Built by the Fr. Schweers Shipyard in 1987, Jamaica Bay is for sale at $20,000,000 and displayed by Edmiston. Jamaica Bay was designed by Terence Disdale, who also designed her original interior, and nowadays she features an interior by Felix Buytendijk.
