Giuseppe Sole graduated in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering in 1979 with maximum marking (110/110+).
He passed the statutory exhamination to practise as Marine Engineer in 1979 with maximum marking (120/120).
He served as Reserve Officer in the Technical Corps of the Italian Navy from 1980 to 1981; he was teacher in charge of the Marine Engineering High School of the Italian Navy in the Naval Academy of Leghorn.
From 1981 to 1982 he was appointed as Naval Architect and Marine Structure Designer from Tecnomare SPA of Venice; he was involved in the design of Special Marine and Offshore Rigs (offshore production platforms, jackets / jack-ups, underwater vehicles etc.).
