<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/8743" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ocean Platform Marinas (Company)">Ocean Platform Marinas (OPM)</a> and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/8807" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Global Ports Holding (Company)">Global Ports Holding</a> have officially commenced operations at the new cruise and superyacht terminal in the Port of Seville, Spain. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/391682/image/large-3600416ec863f9e4b0ea7f9abb67fe9f.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/391682">Operating under the company Global Ports and OPM Sevilla, both companies will manage the facilities for the next 25 years, under a concession model that includes a planned investment of more than €5 million.The collaboration combines <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/8743" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ocean Platform Marinas (Company)">OPM</a>’s experience in marina operations with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/8807" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Global Ports Holding (Company)">Global Ports Holding</a>’s global cruise port network, which spans Europe, Asia, Africa and the Caribbean. The concession covers a total area of 5,100 square-metres at the Delicias Quay, which currently accommodates the cruise terminal, adjacent esplanades and the berthing line.In addition, 1,548 square-metres at the Tablada Quay are included in the project, where a new cruise terminal will be developed within one of the port’s historic warehouse buildings, as part of the wider Urban Port District initiative.Once cruise operations are transferred to Tablada, the Delicias Quay will be repurposed exclusively as a marina for large yachts. This reconfiguration is expected to improve separation between cruise and yachting activities, allowing for more specialised services tailored to each segment.The development is intended to enhance Seville’s attractiveness as a destination for both cruise traffic and large yachts, with a focus on improving passenger services, increasing operational efficiency and strengthening the connection between the port and the city.Investment across the project will be directed primarily towards the development of the new Tablada terminal and a broader upgrade of infrastructure and services for both cruise vessels and yachts.Last month it was announced that Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal’s investment holding company Aspemir had <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Article/65649" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Rafael Nadal and Aspemir acquire stake in Ocean Platform Marinas (2026-03-17 15:15:00 +0100)">acquired a minority stake in OPM</a>. According to <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/8743" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ocean Platform Marinas (Company)">OPM</a>, the incorporation of Aspemir strengthens the Spanish and Mediterranean identity of the project, as well as reinforcing its ties with Mallorca and the Balearic yachting community.
