A surprise invitation from Livingstone’s owner, Johan Hartman to join him and his family on the final leg of their journey from London to Urk passing SuperYacht Times’ hometown of Amsterdam is the setting for this week’s vlog episode. Livingstone’s custom-built Italian tender is also stowed on this level.Inside she sleeps eight guests in a master suite and three guest cabins.The Dutch yachting brand recently announced plans to build a wider variety of yachts in various sizes from 24 to 42 metres in length. A new Amundsen range of yachts specifically geared towards exploring more remote regions and an extension of the Livingstone style of vessels are being developed for construction.

SYT Vlog: cruising into Amsterdam on board Livingstone

Dutch shipbuilder and merchant maritime expert, Hartman Marine Group have opened a new division of construction under the name Hartman Yachts. The new brand will build motor yachts ranging from 24 to 42 metres in length operating from the town of Urk.

Already having delivered one unit in its yachting range in 2016, the 24-metre motor yacht Livingstone, Hartman Yachts now offer a well developed and diverse range of options that are divided into two different forms of cruising.

The latest range, Amundsen, is named after Norwegian polar explorer Roald Amudsen. True to its name sake, the three Amudsen variants will be built with Polar Class hulls as standard while keeping a fresh elegant design by Kroes &amp; Poortinga. A 26, 35, and 42-metre version is on offer each with a high level of specifications that will enable uninterrupted, self-sustained cruising.

The second range, Livingstone, continues the existing classic 1930s ocean liner style that was first introduced through motor yacht Livingstone. The timeless veneer will be outfitted with futureproof and ultra modern equipment that will make for a truly luxurious experience on board. Hartman Yachts once again worked with Dutch design firm Kroes &amp; Poortinga on the lines and engineering of the project.

Hartman Yachts breaks into superyacht scene with new Amundsen range

Currently cruising the Baltic regions is the recently delivered 80-foot motor yacht Livingstone, constructed by Hartman Yachts.

Inside, Livingstone’s guest areas have been kept simple and functional, adhering to the family use which it was commissioned for. A large dining area and galley are located on the main deck which leads through to the raised wheelhouse forward.

A unique Dutch innovation common to local transport barges has been implemented on the yacht in the form of an internal mooring-pole system. Two poles submerge themselves up to eight metres below the waterline into the sand below for a fast and effective alternative to having to deploy the anchor.

Hartman Yachts' motor yacht Livingstone delivered

This summer the Dutch commercial shipbuilder Hartman Marine Group merged with Royal Denship. The company already has a 24 metre motor yacht in-build and has laid the keel for a 42 metre explorer superyacht on 21 December 2015.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/157740/image/large-c3177cf910437ceabddb19f44886e566.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/157740">In 2009 Royal Denship was declared bankrupt, but in the mid-2000s the company had created a name for itself with the construction of several well-known yachts, including the 78.60 metre Princess Mariana (now Pegasus VIII) and the 63 metre Turmoil. At that time the superyachts were built at different shipyards in Denmark, however the new Royal Denship yachts will be built in Urk, the Netherlands.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/157741/image/large-235929775f424594acd403b4895f3f49.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/157741">The 24 metre motor yacht is due for delivery in March 2016. The 42 metre explorer superyacht is designed by Kroes &amp; Poortinga and she will be delivered in 2017. Keel laid for 42m Royal Denship superyacht in Holland

Balk Shipyards in the Netherlands has relaunched superyacht CaryAli, following a 9 month refit period at the Dutch yard. CaryAli went to Balk for "modifications and refit work", but the yard has not yet specified what work was carried out in the refit.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/155005/image/large-dbcfec6b871a6591d21cfdc065623ee5.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/155005">Built by Alloy Yachts in 2013, CaryAli is an elegant yet tough explorer vessel just over 39 metres long. She is designed by René van der Velden, and has a classic interior designed by Lynne Grossman Interiors, Redman Whiteley Dixon and Alloy Yachts.Balk recently completed another refit project, on superyacht Seven Sins. Balk extended the bow of Seven Sins with 2.3 metres, to create extra space for the crew.CaryAli is the 8th superyacht that was relaunched in Holland this summer after a refit.
