The superyacht’s propulsion system comprises a diesel endothermic engine and an ultracompact hybrid unit fitted with an electrical motor installed between the main engine and the gearbox.&nbsp;<a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/12055" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="L'Instant40.9m (134'2&quot;)Baglietto S.p.A.2025">L’Instant</a>’s two main <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1408" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Caterpillar Inc (Company)">Caterpillar</a> C32 ACERT diesel engines are compatible with HVO bio fuels from renewable energy sources, offering the possibility to reduce CO2 equivalent emissions by as much as 90 percent.&nbsp;Furthermore, the yacht’s electrical machine provides a dual function, serving both as an electric propulsion motor for noiseless cruising, and also as a shaft generator system to optimise consumption for long-range cruises.
