With exterior lines penned by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/82" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Espen Øino International (Company)">Espen Øino</a> and light-filled interiors by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/427" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Marco Zanini (Company)">Marco Zanini</a>, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/442" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Skat70.7m (231'11&quot;)Lürssen Yachts2002">Skat</a> offers six staterooms welcoming up to 12 guests, each finished in warm woods and soft leathers. During her refit, the 1,982 GT yacht received three new generators and an exhaust‑gas treatment system, while the installation of 35 extra hull windows flooded her interior with even more natural light. She also boats a glass‑backed conservatory on the bridge, elevator access throughout, an aft beach club with Jacuzzi and gym and a shaded sundeck for alfresco relaxation. To match the exterior lines, the interior is minimalist with only a few materials and colours used throughout, prooving that <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/442" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Skat70.7m (231'11&quot;)Lürssen Yachts2002">Skat</a> is a superyacht built for purpose and not for show. The helipad is one of the most notable aspects of her functional design, capable of refuelling, maintaining, landing and carrying an EC135 or Agusta 109. The design by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/82" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Espen Oeino International (Company)">Espen Oeino</a> is military-inspired as per the request of her owner, who took delivery of the yacht in 2002. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/427" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Marco Zanini (Company)">Marco Zanini</a> designed her interior spaces, which are very simplistic and are suited to accommodate up to 10 guests. Here, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/442" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Skat70.7m (231'11&quot;)Lürssen Yachts2002">Skat</a> was spotted moored in Antigua late last year and is seen to have been kept in pristine condition.&nbsp;

<img src="/uploads/store/photo/36079/image/large-6467b87f88abffbc4c7a8f97676f5b70.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/36079">One of Lürssen’s most iconic and recognisable yachts ever built is seen here currently moored in downtown Stockholm, Sweden. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/442" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Skat70.7m (231'11&quot;)">Skat</a> is a 70-metre motor yacht built by the German shipyard in 2002 to a design by Espen Oeino, one of the first of many projects completed by the pair since that year. Her distinctive military-inspired exterior was a request from her owner who also kept the interior (designed by Marco Zanini) of the yacht very clean and minimalistic in terms of styling. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/442" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Skat70.7m (231'11&quot;)">Skat</a> recently returned to the Swedish capital where she has been spotted several times over her lifetime.

Skat and Sea Walk in Bordeaux

Seen together in the city of Bordeaux last week were the two motor yachts Skat and Sea Walk. No stranger to northern European cities, Skat has become one of the most recognisable yachts in the world since her launch in 2002 at Lürssen. She is the design work of Espen Oeino with an interior by Marco Zanini. Previously named Lady Christina, Sea Walk was built by Oceanco in the Netherlands and launched in 2005. She was lengthened in 2014 during an intense refit in 2014. Oceanco and Zuretti Interior Design worked on the design of the vessel.

Since her launch, Skat has been kept in pristine condition and has an excellent maintenance and refit history. She had recently completed an intense period of maintenance works at the Dutch shipyard Royal Huisman’s refit division where her onboard systems were serviced, teak decking replaced and hull and superstructure repainted.She is currently moored in Antigua’s Falmouth Harbour, where the 54th Antigua Charter Show kicks off today and will continue until 10th December.
