The 20.27 metre sloop Mazu has been designed by the acclaimed Dutch studio Hoek Design Naval Architects and built to conform with RCD essential requirements and ISO standards.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/158528/image/large-f883f2cd72c857ef4edb45e1477b6435.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/158528">She accommodates up to eight guests over four welcoming double cabins, as well as one crew member. Her interior spaces which are fashioned on New England styling bathed in abundant natural light as a result of her low-profile wraparound glass superstructure, which also works to increase the sense of openness inside.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/158529/image/large-ee2e8e028123811e23485078b7316a24.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/158529"><img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/158530/image/large-a09206c20620def770aa173017d68cbb.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/158530">One of her stand out features is her spacious cockpit, measuring over four metres in length and providing a comfortable and sophisticated dining space for up to eight guests. In the aft section a large diameter wheel and electric winches are found, which allow the sails to be trimmed without having to leave the helm. Aft of the helm station is an inviting sunbathing and relaxation area.Why do we think this is such a great deal?<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/158531/image/large-f10ca260c4d5fdeaef17075ed1ebf760.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/158531">Her hull is cold-moulded red cedar encapsulated in glass epoxy with carbon reinforcements meaning a very stiff, light and maintenance free hull – her deck is composite (Corecell M foam) with carbon reinforcements which are covered with a 12 mm teak deck with flush carbon hatches. A three metre T-shaped keel, a carbon rudder and a full carbon rig package including a V boom &amp; EC6 rigging from Southern Spars, as well as a long waterline and medium displacement, result in an exciting, stiff and fast yacht that is consistently a pleasure to sail.Mazu has recently undergone a substantial price drop of €175,000, offering a unique opportunity to purchase a quality, relatively new vessel at a fraction of her new-build value.  Brokerage deal of the week: Pilot Classic 66 Mazu

The Hoek designed sailing yacht La Nina, a 24.6 metre sloop, is currently under construction at Metur Yachts in Bodrum, Turkey. The yacht is being built over a male mould, with a PVC foam cored hull and deck using a combination of epoxy glass and carbon.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151937/image/large-930bfa41a4e640c28d1ca36b4991e3f0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151937">Inside, her interior will be filled with natural light, and is modelled around two couples, with an addition seperate crew cabin.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151938/image/large-67fc3a41b05ea07bbb995f971938035d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151938">Nina will be equipped with a lifting keel that reduces the draught from 4.4 to 2.9 meters.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151939/image/large-07db7da847eaf1a15e2181cb285d5742.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151939">The yacht is scheduled for a 2015 delivery.By Maarten Janssen
