Michael McQuiston Interior Design & Decoration

After signing the sale contract in 2018, the owners of the 38.55-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/29" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Feadship (Company)">Feadship</a> yacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/283" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Lady Charlotte41.55m (136'4&quot;)Feadship2003">Lady Charlotte</a> first contacted renowned Haarlem-based design firm <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/37" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azure Yacht Design & Naval Architecture (Company)">Azure Yacht Design &amp; Naval Architecture</a> in November 2018 with ideas on how to refresh their new purchase. After contacting several shipyards, the owners decided to follow their own direction and rented a shed. With support from the crew and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/37" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azure Yacht Design & Naval Architecture (Company)">Azure</a>, the owners took on the refit work independently together with a team of reliable industry partners. Fast forward to September 2019, the planning stage was completed and the refit work began. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/119150/image/large-fb5fb648863ba16b6a860bbc42dc5064.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/119150"><img src="/uploads/store/photo/119149/image/large-1ed58f860536eaa7a3c18f352ea9cb1d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/119149"><img src="/uploads/store/photo/119147/image/large-5b0f404db17e0694b21792410cb56185.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/119147">Intending to enhance the overall onboard experience and give the original 2003 <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/258" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Michael McQuiston Interior Design & Decoration (Company)">Michael McQuiston</a> design a more modern look, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/37" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azure Yacht Design & Naval Architecture (Company)">Azure</a> developed the exterior design, naval architecture, engineering of the vessel. First and foremost, the team took charge of lengthening the aft section of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/283" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Lady Charlotte41.55m (136'4&quot;)Feadship2003">Lady Charlotte</a>’s hull by 3 metres, giving her a new overall length of 41.55 metres. Her bow shape was also altered and her bridge deck lounge was extended by two metres, as was the sun deck’s aft section. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/119146/image/large-a535fef9e26eb47b2c988de379256251.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/119146"><img src="/uploads/store/photo/119144/image/large-96e6b05951e87893a71c07fed968c624.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/119144">Whilst Johan Mast saw to administering a fresh full coat of paint, fashion plate ribs were installed and the bridge was upgraded to operate paperlessly. To complement her new larger deck areas, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/283" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Lady Charlotte41.55m (136'4&quot;)Feadship2003">Lady Charlotte</a> was fitted with brand-new exterior furniture. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/118463/image/large-9de66f2b63798485f4820503e9869fd6.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/118463"><img src="/uploads/store/photo/118461/image/large-e29c3432d347214178df642c4f8a4967.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/118461">Inside, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/283" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Lady Charlotte41.55m (136'4&quot;)Feadship2003">Lady Charlotte</a>’s complete interior upgrade was completed by the Amsterdam-based design house <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5861" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="CRAVT Original (Company)">CRAVT</a>. The woodwork was resprayed, new furniture was installed with specially-selected fabrics to suit the style preferences of the owners. For smooth sailing, the generators and mechanical equipment were rebuilt and the shafts realigned. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/118462/image/large-0d154142afbb1c6fcfc184d473f7590c.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/118462"><img src="/uploads/store/photo/118458/image/large-ed837191afc673250726d40d8df53bf7.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/118458"><img src="/uploads/store/photo/118460/image/large-3f281772c1ae60f08d4aade2a50cb5a9.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/118460">Once the works were completed, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/283" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Lady Charlotte41.55m (136'4&quot;)Feadship2003">Lady Charlotte</a> made her way through the Kornwerderzand locks on transport as one of the 78 yachts measuring over 30 metres who visited one of the Netherlands’ 12 active refit facilities for works between 2017 and 2019 (according to data from <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/market-intelligence" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="">SuperYacht Times iQ</a>). Superyacht Lady India off Portofino 

Captured this past weekend anchored off the beautiful Italian coastal village of Portofino is the 38.55 metre Feadship superyacht Lady India. Launched as Katrion in 2003 for a second time Feadship owner, the yacht changed hands for the first time last year and subsequently underwent a name alteration to Lady India. She accommodates up to eight guests in total, and her luxurious interiors were the responsibility of a collaboration between Art Line and Michael McQuiston Interior Design and Decoration. Powered by twin CAT 3412E DITA diesel engines, she has a maximum speed of 13.5 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots and a range of 3000 nm.
