The Italian press reports that the 39.4-metre motor yacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1592" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="My Saga39.4m (129'3&quot;)Monaco Yachting & Technologies2007">My Saga</a> sunk around 13:00 today in the Gulf of Squillace, about 9 nautical miles off the coast of Catanzaro Marina.<div class="fr-embedly " data-original-embed="<a href='https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIGqY-myQi0' data-card-branding='0' class='embedly-card'></a>" style="height: 370px;"><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIGqY-myQi0" data-card-branding="0" class="embedly-card"></a></div><a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1592" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="My Saga39.4m (129'3&quot;)Monaco Yachting & Technologies2007">My Saga</a> was built in Italy in 2007 under the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/989" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Monaco Yachting & Technologies (Company)">Monaco Yachting &amp; Technologies</a> brand as Yuko. The steel-hulled superyacht was flying the Cayman Islands flag and she was cruising from Gallipoli to Milazzo with an all-Italian crew, who were rescued from the superyacht.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/237550/image/large-ac11089d3ec5d9aea0aa3405457ada99.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/237550"> <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/237546/image/large-b38be1ebbc3d227520d8ad90b96328d8.png" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/237546"> The problems for <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1592" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="My Saga39.4m (129'3&quot;)Monaco Yachting & Technologies2007">My Saga</a> started last night when the Port Authority of Crotone received a message from the yacht that they were taking on water at the stern. The CP321 patrol boat from Crotone and a Romanian patrol boat, which is in service on behalf of the Frontex agency, reached out to the yacht and rescued the first passengers.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/237549/image/large-47204897d3430cff5351f9155b22e1be.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/237549">At dawn, a tugboat from Crotone arrived at the scene and started towing the superyacht towards Crotone, but as can be seen on the video the weather conditions got worse and the vessel was already partly submerged and listing heavily to starboard.<div class="fr-embedly " data-original-embed="<a href='https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guvbYtaU3qM' data-card-branding='0' class='embedly-card'></a>" style="height: 370px;"><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guvbYtaU3qM" data-card-branding="0" class="embedly-card"></a></div><a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1592" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="My Saga39.4m (129'3&quot;)Monaco Yachting & Technologies2007">My Saga</a>&nbsp;was taking on too much water and eventually sunk. The Monaco Yachting &amp; Technologies (MY&amp;T) 50m superyacht was designed with the objective to offer the comfort and volume of a larger superyacht combined with the advantages of a compact vessel, such as very low fuel consumption and reduced operational costs. Monaco Yachting & Technologies unveils 50m and 56m superyachts

Last week we saw a yacht called <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1592" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">YuKo</a> in Port Hercule of Monaco. It was a nice surprise to see a beautiful yacht of which was nothing known yet. While searching for more information we came in touch with Peter Landers Jr of Monaco Yachting &amp; Technologies, the shipyard who build YuKo. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/60170/image/large-5efd8ac65f38d3c3e3165614a029a30f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/60170"> Peter told us the following on both <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1592" data-legacy="true" href="#managed-by-application">Yuko</a> and MY&amp;T: "Monaco Yachting &amp; Technologies is a very discrete builder specialized in the construction of fine motor yachts to the highest standards. All MY&amp;T Yachts feature unique concepts and advanced but proven technical solutions for demanding Clients. A full diesel-electric powerplant provides very low noise levels and exceptional fuel consumption of only 120l/hour at 11 knots. Range at this speed is 4000nm with 10% reserve.
