Dutch yacht designer P.B. Behage has unveiled a new 44.8 metre superyacht concept named Eastern Red. The design is characterised by a steel hull and aluminium superstructure and will offer exceptionally voluminous guest spaces inside and out on deck which will appeal to the practical yachtsman.

Great attention has gone into the layout of each deck to offer the optimum level of comfort and usability, regardless of the cruising location. Full height windows on main and bridge decks create a bright and airy living spaces with uninterrupted views from the comfort of each interior lounging area. The upper lounge leads out onto a wrap-around deck which facilitates in mooring procedures for crew and vessel maintenance.

The family friendly layout accommodates between 8 and 10 guests with space for 8 crew members. A spacious full-beam master suite is found forward on main deck fitted with a private studio and breakfast area as well as connected walk-in wardrobe and generous bathroom space.

 

Some of the Dutch designer’s innovative technical features include the use of three propeller shafts, with the centre shaft connected to an electric propulsion unit to be used for emergency manoeuvres when at anchor. Another feature that was developed by P.B. Behage is a fresh water hull sprinkler system that minimises the build up salt on the hull and windows.

The modular design of the project means that interested clients can look forward to a 20-month delivery time.

PB Behage’s new 44.8m superyacht concept Eastern Red

The latest design from Piet B. Behage is a 24.7 metre motor yacht created with long distance, family cruising in mind. An open bathing platform is integrated in transom, a stairway leads down from the main aft deck.She has a cruising speed of 10.2 knots and will boast long ranges. New 24.7m convertible P.B. Behage superyacht design

Edmiston has recently announced the sale of the 36.50-metre superyacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2516" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Beverley36.5m (119'9&quot;)Benetti Sail Division2009">Grand Cru III</a>, built in 2009 by the Italian shipyard Benetti Sail Division and featuring exterior design by P.B. Behage.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156033/image/large-053a854a6157882372b788c4668cce47.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156033">On board she accommodates up to nine guests over two twin cabins and one VIP cabin, in addition to a generous master suite. In regards to her performance, she is powered by twin Caterpillar engines of 596 hp each, providing her with a top speed of 14.5 knots, and a cruising speed of 13 knots. She has a range of 5,000 nm at 9.5 knots.Grand Cru III was sold in an in house deal at Edmiston &amp; Company, with Jonathan Barbe representing the seller and Alex Busher acting on behalf of the buyer. At the time of sale, she was listed at an asking price of €5,500,000.

Dutch design company P.B. Behage have revealed their latest superyacht concept. Named Retro, the 70.70 metre motor yacht. It was important too that the design allow an easy access to all areas of the vessel for improved maintenance and, which important is for long-range ocean cruisers, every deck zone can easily be adapted to suit the mood and atmosphere of the moment. PB Behage Yacht Designer reveal new 70.7m superyacht concept

Dutch yacht designer P.B. Behage has recently presented a new explorer yacht concept. The 41.1 metre vessel is designed for long voyages in all weather conditions, a focus emphasised by careful deck planning and ease of use for crew operating the vessel. Named La Confianza, some of her key features includes efficient fuel use, safety and a stable hull form throughout the entire sailing season.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/151863/image/large-dedca5d0b7895d72f526779504256e13.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/151863">She accommodates up to eight guests on board, spread over a four cabin layout. This includes the master suite on the main deck as well as two double cabins with Pullman berths and one VIP stateroom located on the lower deck. This layout can be modified, however, as a charter yacht, in which case the yacht will feature accommodation for up to 10 guests in total over five cabins.Further modifications are possible, including the addition of a touch-and-go helipad aft on the upper deck. In regards to her outdoor areas, a crane on the foredeck allows for the launch and recovery of two custom 5.9 metre aluminium tenders.Commenting on the design, the company state, “Constructed from steel and aluminium, she will be fully MCA compliant. This model and all technical systems meet the requirements of the present day and include more innovative ideas to maximise future resale value.”Powered by either 2x 690 kW (938 HP) by 2100 rpm or 3x 438kW (596 HP) by 1800 rpm diesel electric engines, she will have a maximum speed of 14.4 knots and a cruising speed of 11.2 knots.By Gemma Fottles

P.B. Behage unveils new 41.41m superyacht concept

P.B. Behage Yacht Designer has introduced a new explorer concept, a 24.40 metre motor yacht that is ideal for family cruising as well as discovering both the coast and rivers.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/150132/image/large-4a482c83506c402fd64c770c49f7fca0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/150132">Set to be an interesting line for custom built yachts and designed in full-displacement and semi-displacement versions, the new superyacht will feature a hybrid design with many innovative systems ideas.The vessel is subdivided into six compartments, offering a very spacious structural double bottom/bilge with bulkheads divided into sectors by means of watertight bulkheads. Attention has been particularly paid to the creation of lightweight interiors in order to lower overall weight.An extensive deck area is created from keeping the flybridge open. This area will host comfortable seats and a sunbathing area, as well as a bar and barbeque. The main deck is equally voluminous. A tender is located on the fore deck, and in the aft transom is a swim platform with shower providing access to the yachts other water toys.Guests and crew will be accommodated on the lower deck. P.B. Behage's new 24.40m explorer concept

P.B. Behage tells us he has renewed his World Traveller 116ft models. This renewed World Traveller is based on the design of the Benetti Sail Division Grand Cru III, but with an added wheelhouse deck.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/146971/image/large-299edf880310cfda0d0b94a17fc8dae7.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/146971">Even though the wheelhouse takes up some space from the flybrigde area, guests are still left with a sizable sundeck. The tenders have been stored forward on the main deck, leaving the sundeck to the guests. The yacht has a slender profile, despite her enormous headroom of 2.31 metres. “Grand Cru III, the first model of the World Travelers type has proven to be an all-round yacht with spacious accommodation, in a stable hull. She has performed well in all weather conditions”, Behage comments.“This particular model has also been designed for cruising in all types of weather”, Behage continues “The yacht features both heating and air conditioning systems to keep the entire area at a comfortable temperature, no matter the destination. With a range of 5,000 nm and maximum speed of 14 knots she will be suitable for blue water cruising around the world. She offers accommodation for up to 10 guests. On the main deck there is a large owner’s stateroom, that includes a large walk in wardrobe, and a stunning large bathroom, which features a king size bathtub. There are four large sized guest cabins on the lower deck, two twins and two doubles. The main deck features a large main salon, and separate formal dining room. On the bridge deck there is another large, less formal salon, as well as the ships office and captain’s cabin. Two tenders are stored in the traditional location, of the bridge deck aft for friendly services of the tenders. The sundeck features a Jacuzzi forward and several sun pads and sun loungers. Interesting design features are the yachts exterior stairs, leading up to the upper aft deck and the sundeck they are placed on the centerline of the yacht. The aft decks itself features built in seating against the aft bulwarks of the traditionally rounded stern. The team for this new nostalgic design are striving towards a reduction of CO2-emissions and a greener image. The eye catcher of this design is the combination of the canoe stern with the vertical bow. The canoe stern improves course stability and the vertical bow makes the yacht slide through the water like the great liners from the previous century. Another advantage is the extra space in the forward quarter of the boat compared to the conventional faired bow. P.B. P.B. Behage and Diana Yacht Design develop new greener yachts

Benetti Sail Division have once again teamed up with P.B. Behage for their BSD131 World Traveller model. P.B. Behage worked with Benetti Sail Division before on the 34 metre Grand Cru III. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/131625/image/large-4cf172a70d614276f9ec063626a55e26.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/131625">The 131 is in fact a larger version of <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2516">Grand Cru III</a>. The layout of the 40 metre 131 is conventional, and features an owner's cabin forward on the main deck, and four large guest cabins on the lower deck, two double and two twin cabins. The upper deck features the bridge, as well as a skylounge. With the tenders stored on the foredeck, the aft decks are all kept clear for the enjoyment of her guests. The yacht is powered by twin Caterpillar 3412 E's, and at ten knots will have a range of 4700nm.
