The new 25-metre superyacht concept Italia&nbsp;from the Italian studio, PC Design has been included among the nominees for the 2018 edition of the German Design Award.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/23297/image/large-c5c0749a73ecabd51cd6eeb0230b4b46.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/23297">Italia&nbsp;was placed within the transportation category and classified as “excellent product design” by the German committee for the nominations.&nbsp;Inspired by industries outside of yachting, the concept's superstructure has been moved to the bow and is inspired by the design of fighter jets, while the choice to incorporate a glass setting into the teak decking aft is borrowed from the world of supercars to enable the yacht’s owner, crew and guests to admire the engine room.The main deck spans some 40 square meters of space, supplied by a stern platform covering approximately 10 square meters and providing room for up to 16 guests. Additionally, opening the superstructure doors, the inner space of approximately 17 square meters provides continuity with the outer deck.&nbsp;Other notable features on board include two sets of gullwing doors which, when opened, reveal jet ski garages on the sides and an attractive living area at the lower deck. The stern platform is equipped with a transformer platform and a hydraulic gangway.On completion, the 25-metre yacht would offer overnight accommodation for four guests and two crew members.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/23298/image/large-545e56b1e0cde8201a4a89995c071258.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/23298"> The vessel’s power arrangement features twin 1925 hp CAT C32 ACERT engines and a pair of Twin Disc ASD 14 surface drives, which give it its impressive top speed of up to 60 knots.
