New owner for 38m superyacht Apola 

West Nautical has announced that the 37.6m superyacht Amapolla, built by Rodriquez Yachts in 2007, has been sold, with company Sales Director Murat Urusov having managed the in house deal. The Italian built yacht was designed by Francesco Paszkowksi and accommodates 10 guests across 5 cabins.

A delighted Urusov commented: “This is one of the few deals when we had to act on behalf of both the buyer and seller. Another peculiarity of the deal was the works carried out at the shipyard on behalf of the buyer, in accordance to the MOA, where acceptance of the final and finished product was critical. An important task was to observe all the agreed conditions and to deliver the yacht corresponding to all required standards. That took us almost four months and I am really happy that we managed to bring this deal to a successful end.”

37.6m superyacht Amapolla sold

The radically styled&nbsp;Ocean Sapphire is the work of design studio Foster + Partners and built by Rodriquez Yachts in Italy in 2011. This spectacular and contemporary 41 metre masterpiece has been designed by Lord Norman Foster with a strong emphasis on space and light and has five suites for up to 12 guests. She was in fact the first of a series of identical superyachts launched by the Italian boatyard Rodriquez Cantieri Navali in Sarzana, Italy.

Rodriguez Group's Italyachts has launched superyacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/5865" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Special K31.0m (101'8&quot;)Italyachts2013">Special K</a>, for an American Owner. The yacht, a semi-custom 31 meter long yacht that does over 40 knots, with a hull based on a Leopard 31 and full custom interiors, is destined for use in Southern Florida. The Owner had come to the offices of Whyko in 2008, for a seatrail of a used Leopard 31, and left with an order for completely personalized 31 meter yacht, more enthused than when he arrived.<img alt="" src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/144898/image/large-fd57e464c0bf134bb6274fdb550d4fc1.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/144898">The Azul 31 is a luxury motor yacht with a hardtop superstructure, while her sleek lines emphasize her sporty exterior. Both the project and construction are founded in the consolidated and renowned Viareggio tradition of yacht building, and offer an extremely comfortable solid and reliable yacht. Life aboard is equally comfortable, either above decks or below, and all is custom made.With the design of the main-deck salon, the Owner created an extremely ample living area to accommodate his numerous family, with the stern couch to talk on, and watch the 55” TV. The dining room is forward, behind the pilot house, and furnished with a central table and eight chairs. Above decks, the cockpit offers an enormous sunbathing area and couch with extensive free space surrounding it.Below decks, the Owner chose a four cabin layout, three queen size and one double, each with their own private bathroom. The Owner’s stateroom is amidships and runs from one side of the yacht to the other, with a lounge couch to port and a writing table and dresser to starboard.<img alt="" src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/144899/image/large-1d513f4ca8ac800f92f3df28964c53ee.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/144899">Décor is in natural oak with a 60 gloss finish, and four different kinds of marble: white Onyx in the Owner’s zone, a pale Statuario in the guest area, blue Sodalite in the living area, and Bottoncino in the crew quarters. Here the Owner spent considerable time in modifying the layout to give the crew a more comfortable living area. For the first time in an Italian yard, exterior surfaces were finished with the new “Alexeal” paint, that gives an excellent result thanks to expert application and the product’s high quality.After delivery at the end of July 2013, the yacht will leave Golf-Juan on the Costa Azzurra for Miami and the Bahamas where the Owner’s family usually resides. And seeing that Miami is the home of high speed yachting, it’s no coincidence that this 31 meter has a cruising speed of about 36 knots, with a maximum speed of 40 knots; all thanks to her three MTU motors developing 1,800 horsepower through a Kamewa water-jet and central turbine.The owner stated: “I found a team that rose to the occasion”, said the Owner of the Azul 31, “so I very much want to thank the team at Italyacht: the yard’s Owner, Riccardo Bemi, the yard’s manager Andrea Todde, Dino Abbruzzese from the Rodriguez Group, the yacht’s captain and construction supervisor Piero Ragazzi.
