Camper &amp; Nicholsons has announced a major new development for its central agency listing DU Voyager 50 superyacht, bringing initial construction cost savings and efficiencies in the operation of the yacht.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/153234/image/large-fa08c4f243cf23753334411979628016.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/153234">The DU Voyager 50, to be constructed in Thailand by Ruea Yachts, has been created by Design Unlimited to offer a highly stylised yacht with extensive deck living space including a glass-covered master suite with sun terrace forward, complete with retractable side balconies and a central spa pool.The shipyard are now able to offer the yacht with a highly innovative and advanced serial hybrid power/propulsion system which can reduce emissions by up to 80%, and reduce fuel consumption by 10-15%.Using a cable “electrical shaft” no expensive gearing system is needed and with the ability to locate drive pods at the very stern of the vessel vibration can be vastly reduced. Camper &amp; Nicholsons International has announced they have joined forces with the Bangkok based shipyard, Ruea Yachts. Camper &amp; Nicholsons will promote two Ruea superyachts; the 50 metre DU Voyager and the 43 metre CDR. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/150747/image/large-a44b8870cd61f9b5ecc6539640d3d3ef.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/150747">The DU Voyager 50 is designed in collaboration with Design Unlimited, and comprises a private full beam owner’s suite with drop-down balconies as well as a stylish glass ceiling. Guests are accommodated over four luxurious cabins, and accommodation is also provided for 10 crew. The exterior features include a transverse tender and jet ski garage, a beach deck with folding aft bathing platform and a sky deck with spa pool.The CDR 43 is designed in collaboration with Cor D’Rover, and combines a classic style with highly innovative technologies. This model includes an aft Jacuzzi pool and all round utilisation of glass to create a stunning external profile, while allowing light into all areas of the yacht. Northrop and Johnson Asia now central agents for Ruea Yachts

Following their partnership in 2010 on a 60m superyacht, Design Unlimited has once again teamed up with Ruea Yachts and naval architects BMT Nigel Gee to extend the concept into a 75m version.The new motor yacht will be optimised for blue water cruising with features including extensive covered outside areas that flow easily and naturally into the spacious interiors. This is important in South‐East Asian waters where the tropical climate allows for year‐round cruising amid hot conditions 24 hours a day. In these circumstances the exterior spaces form an integral component of the living space, and so have been designed to combine comfort and amenities with protection from the overhead sun. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/134838/image/large-1324865091a31b2f53a98b66c99c30e0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/134838">Another design element that is favoured by yacht owners in the region is the helicopter landing pad that retracts into a dedicated hangar at the stern. With frequent, short breaks a popular way of taking leisure time in South East Asia, this gives the owner and his guests easy and convenient access to and from the yacht at all times and wherever its location. The accommodation extends across three decks with the owners stateroom complete with studio and balcony on the main deck along with the main saloon, a guest double with bathroom and a cinema. Design Unlimited and Ruea Yacht unveil concept for 75m superyacht

Yacht Solutions has teamed up with Scott Taylor to head up its paint division to ensure the firm meets increasing demand for world-class yacht detailing and finishing. High-profile paint expert teams up with Yacht Solutions

Ruea Yachts, the recently launched superyacht new‐build division of Thailand‐based Yacht Solutions, has announced details of its first design; a 60m (197ft) luxury motoryacht. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/132185/image/large-bab3f48f8513ef7f7eefc646436e58ec.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/132185">Designed in partnership with leading naval architects BMT Nigel Gee and interior designers / stylists Design Unlimited, this new yacht has been created as an ideal craft for tropical cruising with extensive covered external areas offering plenty of shade and the ability to cover large distances between refuelling stops. At her cruising speed of 12 knots she has a range of nearly 5,000 nautical miles, and can achieve 16 knots when required. Based on a proven 60m displacement steel hull combined with an aluminium superstructure the yacht is Lloyd’s Certified and built to the MCA Large Yacht Code LY2 with a gross tonnage of 1240 GRT. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/132186/image/large-a61ab5ae4262a4972f10aeccb5697d74.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/132186">The accommodation is designed for an owner plus 10 guests, and is spread over four of the six decks. The upper deck is dedicated to the owner with a forward‐looking stateroom balanced by a private saloon facing aft on to an open deck with Jacuzzi. In between sit the spacious en‐suite bathroom, two lobbies and a sauna. Five double guest suites are located on the main and lower decks, including one with a balcony. The forward part of the lower deck has accommodation for 14 crew in seven cabins together with crew mess and galley. The Captain’s cabin and office are located on the wheel house deck, between the main and upper decks. Entertainment and public spaces include a sun deck with bar above the owner’s deck, and on the wheel house deck a spacious upper lounge leads out onto an aft deck complete with a 3.5m mini pool. The main deck hosts the main saloon and dining areas, and also a dedicated cinema, while a gym is located on the lower deck. The lower deck also has garaging aft for tenders and jet skis, along with storage for scuba gear and other water sports equipment. A fold‐out beach area sits right at the stern, complete with wet bar.
