<p>A new shipyard has been founded in the port of Genoa that focuses on the construction and maintenance of sailing vessels. Edoardo Bianchi is at the helm of things, and will act as Managing Director of Sangiorgio Marine, the new shipyard. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/223466/image/large-275698b47569fe87092d693028935636.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/223466">Sangiorgio Marine will work in partnership with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6064" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="San Giorgio del Porto S.p.A. (Company)">San Giorgio del Porto</a>, a site which Bianchi directs, and will &nbsp;not compete with its neighbouring shipyards, as it will exclusively work on sailing yachts up to 40-metres in length.&nbsp;</p><p>Bianchi is well-reputed in sailing circles, not only due to his athleticism as a world-class sailor, but as he was responsible for the construction of some standout vessels, such as the Luna Rossa foilers. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/223465/image/large-8106a36202869b85e49ac5425dc01707.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/223465">According to earlier reports “Sangiorgio Marine brings the know-how and the technological avant-garde of the composite world to Genoa, to put them first and foremost at the service of high-profile racing boating and shipbuilding,” </p>
