Shadowcat is the originator and brand authority behind the modern shadow vessel, developed to close the operational gap between superyachts and commercial ships. Rather than a standalone yacht design, Shadowcat operates at program level, integrating owner, designer, captain, and shipyard to define a platform that delivers capability, reliability, and longevity within the wider yacht ecosystem. The vessel is therefore conceived as infrastructure for the yacht program, allowing the primary yacht to remain focused on experience while operational requirements are handled independently.
The multi award winning SHADOWCAT® line comprises bespoke catamaran based support and adventure vessels engineered in collaboration with Incat Crowther and constructed by Astilleros Armon. The catamaran platform provides stability, deck area, payload capacity, and operational efficiency that cannot be achieved through conventional yacht typologies, enabling helicopters, large tenders, scientific equipment, submersibles, aviation operations, expedition logistics, and crew support to be carried without compromising the mothership.
Shadowcat’s role extends beyond design authorship. The company defines mission profiles, coordinates technical development, manages stakeholder alignment, and safeguards brand and program integrity throughout the lifecycle of the project. This approach produces a proven, non competing platform for owners, brokers, designers, and shipyards, reducing uncertainty and accelerating decision making while preserving bespoke flexibility.
Each vessel may operate alongside a mothership or independently as a global expedition platform. Across private, charter, exploration, research, and security driven programs, Shadowcat enables complex yacht operations to function as a coherent system rather than a collection of individual vessels.
