The Spanish-based yacht design studio <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6763" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Daroca Design (Company)">Daroca Design</a> have announced their collaboration with London-based studio <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6764" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="SP.9 (Company)">SP.9</a> to create a new 50-metre motor yacht, Odisye. The design is defined by the designers as a ‘dramatic departure from conventional yacht design.’<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/231571/image/large-12fad440d6529eda2ae8fe8889386baa.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/231571">Odisye features an edgy and dynamic exterior design, while her interior reveals a soft and curvy design made with &nbsp;exclusive materials and exceptional craftsmanship. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6763" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Daroca Design (Company)">Daroca Design</a> Founder and CEO, Alejandro Crespo and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6764" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="SP.9 (Company)">SP.9</a> Creative Director, Pei Li describe the concept as a Yin/Yang approach with a drastic interaction between the interior and exterior designs that surprisingly delivers a subtle harmony.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/231579/image/large-7a83d8b967f1a2c892d5afddd3d548ed.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/231579">“Odisye is designed with the modern yacht owner in mind” explains Alejandro Crespo.“Energetic and elegant, showing faceted angles and straight lines, the exterior design of Odisye reflects the way of thinking of this new generation.”<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/231580/image/large-1338ca8681e0c418252ac5b7c1737f07.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/231580">The <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6764" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="SP.9 (Company)">SP.9</a>-designed interior scheme of Odisye is unexpectedly calm, with curvilinear forms, soft textures, and a muted, welcoming colour palette. “I was inspired by the strong personality of new owners, who love the antithesis of sporty chicness and curvilinear elegance with a touch of ancestral artistry” comments Pei Li, whose interior design embraces the space with flowing lines and delicate wall embroidery. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/231582/image/large-3ea5aaa4b4c4b53d5e5b8a61cc13c1b0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/231582">The main saloon of Odisye features marble floors that reflect along the ceiling. Guests can relax on her curved sofa or dine at her unique multi-layered dining table.An adjacent wine-tasting room is sectioned off by a translucent, reeded glass wall that ensures privacy while keeping with the airy feel of the spaces.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/231576/image/large-ade1e30c2681dfdecb872c8d277616e8.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/231576">Odisye is able to accommodate 10 guests in five staterooms comprising one master suite, three VIP guest staterooms and a twin stateroom. The deck spaces are defined by her extremely inclined inverted bow, plus her dark blue metallic anthracite and black colour. Her sundeck comes complete with a Jacuzzi and bar, whereas her bridge deck caters for alfresco dining.
