(Company)">Golden Yachts</a> <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2354" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Project X88.0m (288'9&quot;)Golden Yachts Ltd.2022">Project X</a> has been transported from <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1751" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Halkitis Shipyards S.A. (Company)">Halkitis Shipyard</a> to <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/778" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Golden Yachts Ltd. (Company)">Golden Yachts Shipyard</a> as she nears completion. The impressive 2,750 GT superyacht has been under construction since 2007 and has moved from various shipyards during her build. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/222727/image/large-60d75f0328dacc649082615ebf88f243.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/222727">The Perama based shipyard has been working on the yacht since 2019 when she was moved from the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/47" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Delta Marine (Company)">Delta Marine</a> shipyard in Seattle, United States where she had been stored for a number of years. But it was at <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/924" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Marco Yachts (Company)">Marco Yachts</a> shipyard in Santiago, Chile where her construction started in 2007. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/222718/image/large-7eba011025b5297200f94812e2cb40fe.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/222718"><a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2354" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Project X88.0m (288'9&quot;)Golden Yachts Ltd.2022">Project X</a>, previously known as Z, features an exterior design by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/148" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ken Freivokh Design (Company)">Ken Freivokh</a> and interior by Alessandro Massari of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1156" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Massari Design S.r.l. (Company)">Massari Design</a>. The 88m Golden Yachts Project X has been transported from Halkitis Shipyard to Greek New Spanopoulos Group Shipyard as she nears completion.

The 1st of June saw Ignatios and Michael Spanopoulos host a reception celebrating the official opening of the new shipyard of the Spanopoulos Group in Perama, Greece.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/148974/image/large-30dcac8da00d0bc232251cece479a1af.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/148974">The new shipyard has been fully operational since February 2014 and has created many employment opportunities in the area. The 16,500m2 site is dedicated exclusively to luxurious mega yachts providing an array of in house services under the high standards classifications of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISPS as well as high liability insurance.The opening ribbon was cut by the Deputy Minister for Development &amp; Competitiveness, Athanasios Skordas, gave a short speech praising the Group and focusing on the importance of investments which contribute to the development and progress of the country.By Gemma Fottles
