Delivered in 2016 after a three-year construction period by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/57" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Mariotti Yachts (Company)">Mariotti</a>, the motor yacht measures 164-metres, making her the world's second-largest yacht by length as of today. Built with a steel hull and superstructure, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/5756" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Fulk Al Salamah164.0m (538'1&quot;)Mariotti Yachts2016">Fulk Al Salamah</a> features a sophisticated exterior designed by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/196" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Studio de Jorio (Company)">Studio de Jorio</a>. While <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/5756" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Fulk Al Salamah164.0m (538'1&quot;)Mariotti Yachts2016">Fulk Al Salamah</a> supports the 155-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/23" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Lürssen Yachts (Company)">Lürssen</a> superyacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/9" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Al Said155.0m (508'6&quot;)Lürssen Yachts2008">Al Said</a>, categorising her as a support vessel is challenging since she also serves as a private vessel for the Royal Oman family. Powered by four diesel <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1438" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Wärtsilä (Company)">Wärtsilä</a> engines, the 20,361 GT yacht achieves a cruising speed of 15 knots and a maximum speed of 22 knots.

Last week the Italian Architect Giuseppe de Jorio sadly passed away. Mr. de Jorio has been designing vessels since the early 1960s, and is the owner of De Jorio Design which since its establishment has worked on countless prestigious projects over the years, including the 46.7 metre Mohamedia (now Adoria), the 86 metre Nabila (now Kingdom 5KR), and the 62 metre Luisella (now Esmeralda).<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/158309/image/large-205367c309229462e39ea2daa49d92f3.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/158309">Mondomarine, who has worked closely with Mr. de Jorio over the past few decades, made the following statement commemorating Mr. de Jorio: “Mondomarine wants to remember him [as] a very dear architect to the yard, having designed the first yacht built by Cantieri Navali Campanella in 1975, Mohamedia, [one of] the biggest yachts in the world at the time. Giuseppe de Jorio has been one of the most influential architects in the global naval industry.”Mr. de Jorio’s last official appearance was at the Centennial Celebration of the Cantieri Navali Campanella in Savona on September 14th.
