Sturge Design 

London-based studio <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5842" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sturge Design (Company)">Sturge Design</a> has announced a new 96-metre explorer yacht concept: Rimor X. With exteriors designed in collaboration with Vienna based designer Ben Julian Toth, the experiential travel and adventure company Pelorus is acting as the technical advisor for the project. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/118291/image/large-65a31805d3d0d0403f0ff59061b6af73.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/118291">“Rimor X visually unites the beauty and mightiness of its natural environment with a distinctive timeless design expressing an unmistakable call towards fierce environments, new adventures, and bold expeditions for lasting memories,” comments Toth. “We decided to approach Pelorus who have the knowledge and know-how in leading the adventurous experiences the clients are after.”<img src="/uploads/store/photo/118295/image/large-292d98f454a88f69cda010602c2cc053.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/118295">Designed following high demands from clients on the explorer front, the new concept features a sundeck with a raised area near the wheelhouse, creating an island inside the yacht for easy guest access. The sun deck is also provided with a pool and connected to the main deck with asymmetrical stairs, creating a unique look. The lower stern of Rimor X is equipped with a gym and wellness area, dive shop and optional submarine deployment, all of which are accessible through an internal staircase.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/118292/image/large-c4aa7bd35ba25d042bdc41aa490d3b1c.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/118292">Walking inside the 96-metre Rimor X, the interior spaces are combined with extensive glass surfaces, offering panoramic views and establishing a connection with the outdoors for her guests, whatever the weather. This is highlighted by the full-width observation lounge running across the bow and the Mermaid lounge: a submerged lounge allowing the guests on board to observe life underwater.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/118296/image/large-32989cffbe432659b80f735aab35a415.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/118296">“From the Mermaid Lounge up to the owner’s observatory, the five decks provide vast space for outdoor activities, lounging and dining - with the main deck featuring a 10-metre pool with its own pool house under the helipad and an outside Jacuzzi with fire pits on the bridge deck,” explains Sturge.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/118294/image/large-ab8100e458accf914c03d1077d8b6f2a.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/118294">“From the layout, it’s obvious that each of these spaces has their own intimacy and function,”&nbsp;adds Toby Sturge. “This allows all family members to enjoy their own time on board while still being together all on one incredible deck stretching from stern to bow."<img src="/uploads/store/photo/118293/image/large-06ba6a350c853d4556fe4ac9f703051b.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/118293">The interior stylings of the 96-metre concept include teak detailing in the ceilings and textured materials with the right balance of light-absorbing and reflection materials throughout the yacht. On board, Rimor X is designed to accommodate up to 14 guests across seven staterooms, comprising of four double suites on the lower deck, two VIP apartments on the main deck and an owner’s deck, with personal facilities.
