(Company)">Swiftships</a> and was converted to an explorer superyacht at the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1263" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Dania Cut Super Yacht Repair Facility (Company)">Dania Cut Super Yacht Repair facility</a> in Florida. This conversion included a 12-metre extension of the hull and the addition of a raised helicopter platform. Key features onboard include multiple galleys, media rooms and a deep dive centre which is one of the primary purposes of this explorer yacht.

The Florida based naval architecture firm, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1541" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Boksa Marine Design, Inc. (Company)">Boksa Marine Design</a>, have announced the conversion project of a 38-metre crew transfer boat Lorraine built in 1979 by United States-based marine engineers, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/893" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Swiftships Inc. (Company)">Swiftships</a>. The conversion will transform this aluminium hulled vessel, which was purchased in December 2020, into a private motor yacht. The new La Seyne-Toulon shipyard, located at La Seyne-sur-mer, has already hauled out three superyachts since the Monaco Marine Group opened the yard in November 2018. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2467" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Livadia30.0m (98'5&quot;)Moonen Shipyards B.V.2010">Livadia</a> (ex Livia), the 30-metre superyacht delivered by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/130" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Moonen Shipyards B.V. (Company)">Moonen</a> in 2010 and the 46.82-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/893" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Swiftships Inc. With a dock of 148-metres, the yard can accommodate up to 28 yachts between 30-50-metres at the same time. In addition, tenders can also be accommodated thanks to a specific marina. &nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/56841/image/large-a5e2c21fb0468739ed4bfb82dd2f9229.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/56841">The La Seyne-Toulon shipyard is part of the network of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/681" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Monaco Marine (Company)">Monaco Marine</a> refit and maintenance sites. Since 2010 Monaco Marine has invested €45 million into their seven shipyards, including La Ciotat, La Seyne-Toulon, Beaulieu sur Mer, Marseille and Monaco.

A successful start for Monaco Marine's new shipyard

Ship repairer Burgess Marine has secured a large superyacht refit for its Portchester yard, located at the top of Portsmouth Harbour, in the UK.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/145979/image/large-d45269a76d4e2e3ec1ccf5039098a827.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/145979">The major refit of a 57m, 1992 Swiftship, will encompass structural, mechanical and electrical works across an 8 to 9 month period. The yacht, en-route to UK at the moment, will also undergo paint works and a major interior overhaul by Trimline Superyacht Interiors.Nicholas Warren, Burgess Marine’s Managing Director comments: “Refits on this scale are great news for Burgess Marine, and perhaps more importantly great news for the South Coast and the rest of the UK. She’s a substantial vessel with a major program of works and we look forward to working very closely with the Owners Team”.The Owners Teams, headed up by Andrew Tree of Superyacht Technical Services, has been instrumental in both yard selection and the decision to bring the vessel to the UK.
