Cloud Yachts has confirmed the sale of the 33-metre Tactical 110 superyacht NFT for a US owner. The NFT was minted on Opeansea last week and is believed to be the first NFT yacht sale on the Ethereum blockchain. After a quick call with Zach Mandelstein, founder of Cloud Yachts, SYT&nbsp;got an exclusive scoop that for the second hull of the Tactical 110, the NFT and physical yacht will be built simultaneously."We see a unique opportunity to use this new technology while building our custom yacht. The owner of hull #1 is a team player and without judgment is allowing us to develop and streamline a process that we will be able to apply to future builds. Our end goal is to make a complex 2-3 year build period a better, more efficient experience for him. We all understand that this process will develop and become more complex as the project takes shape. The NFT yachts in Cloud Yachts’ fleet are designed by some of the leading superyacht designers, giving owners access to a world that they may not have access to otherwise.In a previous statement, Mandelstein said: "Our team is honored to represent the world's best superyacht designers. Tactical 110 NFT yacht has been sold, the first of her kind. SYT got the inside scoop on this unusual story. 

From blockchain to in-build: Tactical 110, the first NFT yacht sale on ETH blockchain 

Canadian boat builder Tactical Custom Boats has signed a contract for the build of a 23.4-metre fast pilothouse motor yacht which was commissioned by an American client.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/32648/image/large-f45ea9573a0aeca28b15ba8e2430da7c.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/32648">The vessel is the design and engineering work of American studio Bill Prince Yacht Design who designed and developed the unique hull shape. The custom project is designed for speed and comfort for an owner who is very familiar with the ocean who will take delivery of the yacht in 2019. Designed for off-the-beaten-track cruising, the project is filled with several stand-out features and includes a transom designed to launch and retrieve tenders and toys without the use of a davit crane. The most modern electronics and lightweight carbon fibre will be installed throughout the interior for a complete high-tech package. The top speed of the yacht remains classified and will only be unveiled at a later stage.&nbsp;“Our client has a specific set of requirements for this remarkable boat which are simply not available from any other vessel of this size today,” comments Bill Prince. “We’ve designed go-anywhere capability and luxurious accommodations inside aggressive, pseudo-military exterior styling.”<img src="https://sydis.superyachtcompany.com/uploads/store/photo/32647/image/large-9a1ca3b6699b3009ffd522d0642b81b7.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/32647"> Based in British Columbia, Tactical is best known for their expertise in the aluminium field and their range of durable and multifunctional outboard boats built for the commercial and recreational markets.
