The 2010 Fort Lauderdale Int. Boat Show was very successful for IYC and TSGYP (The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals, now part of IYC). According to Jennifer Saia, Executive Director - Luxury Yacht Vacation Division for IYC &amp; TSGYP, she could not have been more pleased. When asked recently what her impression was, she said, "I honestly did not have enough hours in the day to handle the scheduled pre-appointments with repeat clients, plus the new clients that I met on the docks or that were referred by existing clients. A lot of my personal charter appointments were centered on future bookings, March through September 2011 which is a nice change from the totally last minute market we've seen over the last years". Saia continued, "This said, we had one very significant booking on a large Trinity for the Holidays that came directly from the Show and I'm working a couple of other Holiday bookings with clients that I toured vessels with during FLIBS. I hope the Show proves to fill the gap for a few vessels' calendars that were/are still open for the Holiday's". IYC and The Sacks Group report first successful yacht show since merger

Following the announcement of their merger with International Yacht Collection earlier in October, The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals created quite a buzz on the docks of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, which wrapped up on November 1st. In particular, show goers in search of the perfect charter yacht for a winter getaway were greeted by an array of stunning vessels offered by the newly expanded firm. “The Sacks Group and IYC together had 16 great yachts at the show that clients could consider for their next luxury charter vacation,” reported Jennifer M. The Sacks group add Lady Di to charter fleet

The Sacks Group has reported that the first-ever CrewShow – the trade exhibition focused exclusively on professional yacht crew – to take place in the Caribbean was a great success. CrewShow-St. Maarten, owned and organized by veteran crew member Celia Wagstaff and sponsored by TSGYP, was held on January 9, 2010, at Yacht Club at Isle de Sol, an Island Global Yachting (IGY) marina. The show provided superyacht vendors and other local businesses with a unique opportunity to meet the crew of luxury yachts operating in the area for the winter cruising season – as well as providing a fun day ashore for the crew themselves following the busy holiday charter season. “There was a great variety of vendors, live music and good food; crew were happily shopping, networking and even dancing at the show,” said Ann E. The Sacks Group plans to sponsor the Fort Lauderdale CrewShow

The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals (TSGYP) reported a rise in luxury charter vacation inquiries and bookings for the Caribbean holiday and winter season following a successful showing at the recent MYBA St. Maarten Charter Show, Dec. 4-7, 2009, and the Antigua Charter Yacht Show, Dec. 7-11, 2009. The yachts from TSGYP’s Charter Marketing Fleet that participated in the shows – the Inace Unforgettable in St. Maarten, and the two Hargraves Cocktails and Hooter Patrol IV in Antigua – received strong interest from Charter Brokers from around the world. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/129766/image/large-6deb405302c080b572046b23a2f05a8c.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/129766">“The Charter Brokers who toured our yachts and attended the festive parties we held onboard them at both shows were universally complimentary. The Sacks Group reports successful Antigua and St. Maarten Charter Shows

The owners and crew of several yachts from The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals (TSGYP) Charter Fleet joined in the spirit of giving by participating in the 22nd Annual ShowBoats International Boys &amp; Girls Clubs Rendezvous, held on November 12-14, 2009 at the Rybovich Marina &amp; Yacht Club and other exclusive locations throughout Palm Beach. The highly successful event raised more than a million dollars to benefit the Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of Broward County, Florida. The owners of the 88-foot (26.8-meter) 1999 Custom Broward Essence, a TSGYP Central Charter Agency Listing, not only brought their yacht to the Rendezvous for the very first time, opening it up to fellow guests during the Thursday night Yacht Hop at the Rybovich Marina &amp; Yacht Club, but they also demonstrated exceptional generosity by donating two 3-night/4-day charter vacations that raised almost U.S. $ 50,000 at the Live Auction. “They really are a lovely couple,” said Linda Von Allmen, Rendezvous Co-Chair and Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of Broward County Board Member. “To come into a brand new event and venue and to donate not one but two charter vacations is to say a lot for first-time visitors to this event. It certainly showed their hearts were in the right place, and they realized it was all for the kids.” The Live Auction was held on Saturday night at the 007 James Bond Theme Gala, a formal ball headlined by singer Donna Summer at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach. Superyacht Miss Michelle joins charter fleet of The Sacks Group 

Blame it on the harvest moon, which shone brightly on the gleaming megayachts lining the show docks, or on a growing feeling of optimism following a challenging year, but The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals (TSGYP) reported very positive results following the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), October 29-November 2, 2009. A highlight was the “Yachting, It’s A Golden Life” VIP Party and Yacht Hop that TSGYP hosted to celebrate the show’s Golden Anniversary. “The boat show opened with high expectations that were exceeded throughout the ‘Full Moon’ weekend of activity on the docks, particularly at our location at The Las Olas Marina, A-Dock/Dock-1,” said Jennifer M. Saia, The Sacks Group President and Charter Specialist. “We had more qualified charterers and owners than ever before in attendance – another good indicator that 2009 could wind up being a good year, despite all the dire predictions from last winter, and 2010 even better.” <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/129400/image/large-0156d5491ab359999616afa5d14ebba4.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/129400">TSGYP Charter and Brokerage team members did plenty of advance work to bring clients to the show, sending out more than 200 information packages and 500 show tickets. Many of the firm’s clients also took advantage of TSGYP’s popular “Tour the Show with a Pro” initiative, which invites clients to take a behind-the-scenes tour of yachts available for charter and/or brokerage with one of the firm’s experienced brokers or charter agents. “I was particularly busy escorting serious clients and prospects through the many exciting charter yachts at our display and throughout the rest of the show, ” said Saia, adding that several charter bookings and at least two pending yacht sales resulted directly from FLIBS. She added, “As with any boat show, the real work begins afterwards with follow-up,. The final results of all this effort will be seen later in the year.” The high point of any boat show is a chance to entertain your clients. So, TSGYP put all their creative efforts into throwing a VIP Party for clients and friends. More than 200 people turned out for this gala event, entitled “Yachting, It’s A Golden Life”. The party was held at TSGYP’s display at the Las Olas Marina, where five luxury charter and/or brokerage motor yachts from the firm’s elite fleet –Calypso, Java, Mia Elise, Mostro and Goose Bumps –were decorated for the occasion. Guests were greeted by Saia and her staff, decked out in elegant evening attire courtesy of Fort Lauderdale’s Essentials Boutique, which also displayed its jewelry and handbag collection aboard Mia Elise during the event. Sundecks and flybridges made fabulous platforms for viewing the sunset and later, the moon. M/Y Wanderlust joins the Sacks Group charter fleet

The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals (TSGYP) have announced the sale of the 112-foot Westport Raised Pilothouse Motor Yacht Rainmaker by Yacht Charter and Sales Broker Barbara Stork. The yacht’s new owners, who have renamed her Milk Money, made the purchase after enjoying several luxury charter vacations on a very similar Westport 112 through TSGYP’s innovative Try Before You Buy® Program. “It was such a pleasure to work with these clients, who had not previously owned a large yacht,” said Stork. “After the first charter we arranged for them with their children and grandchildren in The Bahamas, they realized just how much fun they could have spending a family vacation together on board. Then, during their second through forth charters, they had time to truly evaluate and fall in love with the Westport 112 model.
