Her owner had specific requirements for the custom vessel which have been reflected in her design, including wider hulls to accommodate transverse berths and larger staterooms below deck. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2901" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Du Toit Yacht Design (Company)">Du Toit Yacht Design</a> created the catamarans lines to be elegant and styling, accentuated by blue LED underwater lights. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/198498/image/large-606ee3f79d6c18dd9b9315b3c716ffb4.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/198498">Her design focuses on giving an interior-exterior feel, whilst keeping all the comforts and luxuries. This was achieved by using Ralph Lauren fabrics on her exterior sunbeds and cushions, and by continuing her teak decks into her interior. &nbsp;Her teak floors are complemented by the two-tone design of her furniture, which features white panels and a solid walnut insert.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/198494/image/large-0c330869d89555a9466e29a652e8b16b.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/198494">The interior of the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/11233" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Two Oceans 850E Power 25.0m (82'0&quot;)Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing2021">Two Oceans 850E</a> features a spacious galley on the main deck, designed to facilitate a social cooking experience, where guests can watch their favourite meal be prepared from the cockpit or bar area. To the port forward side is her navigation station and to the starboard, a space for desk work. Her aft cockpit has been designed as the main living and dining area on board, with a large walnut table, which can seat 10 guests. (Company)">Cummins</a> 610 horsepower engines to provide an economical cruising speed of 10 knots for long distance voyages, giving her a 3,500 nautical mile range. Two Oceans Marine launch Two Oceans Power Catamaran

Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing have announced the launch of their Two Oceans 850E Power Catamaran in Cape Town, South Africa.

Du Toit Design has recently announced that the new Open Ocean 800 Expedition Catamaran has been launched in South Africa. Named Ultra Vires and measuring 25 metres, she was built at Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing and is the largest vessel in the shipyards Open Ocean series, and the largest power catamaran to be constructed in South Africa.

On board she accommodates guests over four cabins, two in each hull. A crew of four are also accommodated for on board. Designed as an on-the-water home for an active family who intend to use the vessel to travel to all the best kite boarding and surf hotspots, she features ample storage for a variety of equipment, including a tender on the foredeck as well as a large davit which hosts a 21’ tender on the aft deck.

Commenting on the project, Du Toit Yacht Design says, “The Open Ocean 800 Luxury Expedition Catamaran is a great success due to close collaboration between the boat builder and designer, working with the owner at every step of the project, in order to create a flawless ocean-going vessel and home. Two Oceans Marine and Du Toit Yacht Design have shown this to be true once again, with Ultra Vires being the perfect example.”

In regards to her performance, she is powered by twin Cummins 305 hp engines, with a range of approximately 4,500 nm.

Open Ocean 800 Expedition Catamaran launched

Cape Town based Two Oceans Marine launches HQ2

Du Toit Yacht Design has launched the exciting 75 foot expedition catamaran, the Open Ocean 750 Luxury Expedition Yacht, built by Two Oceans Marine in Cape Town, South Africa. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/141145/image/large-c15e6906be8d4896dc4a017c5283e4a1.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/141145">Aptly named Quo Vadis, Open Ocean 750 Expedition Yacht is an impressive 75 foot catamaran, powered by two Cummins 228 kW/305 HP motors. It was custom designed by Du Toit Yacht Design for a seasoned game fisherman, and is stylish and luxurious as well as comfortable and functional. The Open Ocean 750 is essentially the big sister of the successful Open Ocean 630, also designed by Du Toit Yacht Design and built by Two Oceans Marine and launched last year. Designing this impressive expedition catamaran was a project that took 30 months and involved 1750 hours of design work, with three designers involved at various stages in drawing up the interiors, lines, structure and various mechanical details. Although the 750 Expedition Yacht is not designed to sail, but rather to motor for long distances, it has the same elegant lines and styling as the Open Ocean 630. Quo Vadis is the mother ship for Two Oceans 48 Sport Fisher Game Fishing Boat, and with her powerful engines and large fuel capacity, she is capable of towing this craft on lengthy game fishing expeditions, and has been robustly designed and built for transatlantic voyages. Accommodation is luxurious by expedition yacht standards, and at the same time comfortable and highly practical. The catamaran has ample accommodation and sleeps up to eight guests in four double cabins. Each cabin has its own spacious en-suite bathroom, with a heads and a shower. In addition, there are two crew cabins, accommodating three crew. The Open Ocean 750 Luxury Expedition Yacht is certainly the perfect yacht for a game fishing expedition in comfort and style.
