The interior renderings of the in-build 42.1-metre GX42 superyacht have been unveiled, providing a closer look at her design before she is delivered in 2026. &nbsp;<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/329927/image/large-156a8d236f953dbd5298652e1af5cc01.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/329927"><img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/329928/image/large-67a2f74c94e373c85173ecc433f06600.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/329928">Taking place outside the main shed at build partner <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1556" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="SES Yachts (Company)">SES Yachts</a> near Tuzla, Turkey, the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/7872" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="GX Superyachts (Company)">GX Superyachts</a>’ flagship had her hull and superstructure joined in January of this year. The GX42 yacht features organic-inspired interiors by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4335" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Marco Casali Too Design (Company)">Marco Casali Too Design</a>, who also penned her exterior design, while her naval architecture is credited to <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2051" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="NAMES by Francesco Rogantin (Company)">NAMES by Francesco Rogantin</a>. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/359559/image/large-80e95d12832520b23d2b683bb3882617.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/359559">The first GX42 showcases a Raised Pilot House (RPH) design, with a curved superstructure topped off by a low profile upper deck. Exhibiting a gently curved hardtop, the yacht’s upper deck extends the alfresco lounging options with an arrangement of sofas and sunbeds, a bar and a Jacuzzi.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/359558/image/large-993622d4aee4a42c1a34310351fa6f38.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/359558"><img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/359555/image/large-2811de37fa9809a146e6291da82955f1.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/359555">“The debut GX42 shows what is possible, while remaining true to the principles of responsible yachting. For a boat with a slim, efficient hull, the volume is phenomenal, and we have put it to excellent use with full-beam staterooms, inviting social areas for relaxed living and that wonderful upper deck. The VIP suite is breathtaking – it’s just as well suited to a co-owner as a guest,” commented <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/7872" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="GX Superyachts (Company)">GX Superyachts</a> CEO Vladimir Zinchenko. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/359551/image/large-6ae9a2ac3bfd2e26407405cea6da64c3.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/359551"><img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/359550/image/large-0fba77a7e28eaa386dd2370feb8395c0.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/359550">In order to pay homage to the eco-oriented performance of the GX42 yacht, designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4335" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Marco Casali Too Design (Company)">Casali</a> has adorned the interiors with natural tones and materials, such as walnut wood panelling for walls and cabinetry, which are juxtaposed with white leather and lacquer as well as Italian fabric in the upholstery.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/359541/image/large-0608221d7f5544ebc921f3516c769c9a.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/359541">Moreover, within the indoor living areas, each edge is rounded with a broad radius, ranging from the ceiling insets to the leather-clad fiddles of shelves, vanity units, stateroom TVs and bathroom mirrors. Both the yacht’s exterior and interior make use of loose furniture hailing from Italian designers including Poltrona Frau and B&amp;B Italia. For these pieces, the same neutral upholstery has been utilised and further augmented with a dash of natural colour, as demonstrated in a sage-coloured cushion or blue woven blanket, for instance.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/359544/image/large-b24aa37b64399fc5cf3ca4d72f7f7675.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/359544">Each room is composed of focal points, such as the backlit slab of Turkish marble present by the dining room table, or the curated pieces from the owner’s private collection of art, comprising paintings, sculpture and objects. In addition, the waves of the ocean are represented through rippled liquid metal panels, which increase the dark-light contrast of other materials.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/359543/image/large-12c2e04f17d59e1a7790d6ac236adf77.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/359543">Lighting is also at the heart of the GX42 yacht’s interior design, as floor-to-ceiling &nbsp;windows on the main deck ensure natural lighting, and Italy’s Ultra Luce have imagined several subtle direct and indirect lighting techniques for an array of moods and atmospheres. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/359542/image/large-9320be1b056fc66b0cd2238b63c94148.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/359542">As <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4335" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Marco Casali Too Design (Company)">Casali</a> explained, “This is no showboat for flexing the muscles. We worked closely with the owners to realise their priorities for a family friendly design that favours extended periods onboard. The 27.50-metre Posillipo motor yacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/11420" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Alpa IV 26.56m (87'2&quot;)Cantieri Navali Rizzardi2009">Alpa IV</a> sold in a deal with Nihan Erturk of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/3527" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ultramar (Company)">Ultramar</a> Istanbul representing the buyer and Nicola Ricci of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4960" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Infinite Yachts (Company)">Infinite Yachts</a> standing in for the seller.
