Originally launched in 1994 by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/8409" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding (Company)">Mitsui Engineering &amp; Shipbuilding</a> in Japan as a training vessel, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/16414" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Toba Maru40.0m (131'3&quot;)Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding1994">Toba Maru</a> has since been transformed into a private yacht following an extensive conversion this year at <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/8408" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Vallianz PT USP (Company)">Vallianz PT-USP</a> in Batam, Indonesia. Her refit scope included a full accommodation upgrade to modern superyacht standards, the creation of a new saloon and dining area, and the extension of her aft deck finished in premium wooden flooring.
